  • Hmm, yeah, this is kinda difficult, sorry >_>

How about in a college classroom, and me wanting to get out and use a computer? Would that supplement?
I kinda want to hear the backstory behind that one.

We once had, in one of our own variants of D&D (meaning it was similar to it but not actually D&D), someone take about 1300 damage from a falling ice cream truck, iirc.
Yes, they did and they still do in the 3DS games. Surprisingly, I haven't ran into a lot of guys in Random Matchup who use it. Maybe one most recently, and it was a shiny.
I also learned how great good world building is for immersion in an afterschool tabletop games club.
Oh, I don't use Mienshao as a lead often. It's actually used in conjunction with Zoroark to confuse people.
Mienshao can be a murderer if you have the right move set and nature. I prefer either Adamant or Jolly nature to boost Attack/Speed, with the moves High Jump Kick, Poison Jab, Bounce, and U-turn. Onset by Choice Band, it becomes a brutal force that can take down most enemies, so long as you don't run into the whole type negation of Ghost or Steel Pokemon respectively for HJK or Poison Jab.
This is partially why I usually send out Mienshao first if I see it in someone's party. It makes for a quick kill, usually.
Oh, you want a hard one? Mega Kangaskhan is almost certain to massacre any team in Battle Spot, if you don't eliminate it immediately. The doubled-up attacks are almost impossible to survive.
Well, Golbania was made more for my stories than actual games. It would be interesting in battle, though, since it can shift between its different heads. I mean, it's like if Deoxys could shift between its different forms mid-battle and, even worse, when it goes into its mega evolution. Having attacks all strike the same would put a lot of Uber and OU Pokémon at a disadvantage, especially since they couldn't just hammer other Pokémon without risking getting massacred themselves.
What entry was yours? I know you probably figured out who Golbania belonged to. I just didn't want to say anything to spoil things. I'm actually a little upset that I didn't get any votes beyond the one the person made after the fact. Honestly, I thought I would've gotten third or even a remote fourth. It wasn't easy drawing Golbania in its full form, not to mention it was impossible to make it look like the four snakes were coming out of the mirror.
About a month ago, somebody posted something about there being two new Pokémon games in the works. It was supposed to be a follow up to the Strange Souvenir, which you can get from a backpacker at random hotels around Kalos. Supposedly, the tiki represents a Legendary Pokémon from another region, but we won't know unless other games come out. Pokémon Plus and Minus are supposedly console games that are supposed to feature two Pokémon based on Hindu and Polynesian gods that are symbolize by plus and minus symbols on their faces. These Pokémon are supposed to respond to the reincarnation of a "Buddha-like" figure in the Pokémon world (supposedly the player character's best friend). This person is supposed to have abilities similar to N's, where in he/she can pick up on the emotions of Pokémon and even make them Mega Evolve at will. Additionally, he/she is being followed by a cult bent on restoring the world to the "old ways" before Poke Balls were invented so that people have to learn to coexist with Pokémon without use of the devices (that also means the destruction of all modern technology too). The legendary Pokémon would supposedly only obey the reincarnated trainer who originally tamed them in ancient times.
I don't know... Game Freak threw a curveball at people with Black/White 2, but I don't think they'll got too far out of their way another time. It would be interesting to see a concept like the Pokémon Plus/Minus rumor, but as a third installment for Gen VI, not a new generation entirely.
The Ghost Girl can be found in one of the office buildings on Lumiose's North Boulevard. She's on the second floor. I actually did trigger the event a few months ago. I don't get how people have developed all these theories about her anyways. I mean, they also say she appears in Hotel Richissime, but that's actually a random Hex Maniac (if you go there before triggering the event, the Hex Maniac is already there). Additionally, I don't draw the connection between the ghost girl and a message on the back of one of the signs at the train station.

Mmm, yeah, I think you can use that.
I've taught you well. >:3 Anything that's cute tends to become like, my most favorite things ever, haha.
I think I got the idea from listening to one of my English teachers try to help someone be more descriptive in their writing.
Yes I did! I actually printed it out and showed my boyfriend. It's hanging on my wall right now. :') I love it, it's adorable and simply perfect. Seriously, I would have cried had it not made me laugh.

Sorry I forgot to respond. ><; I've just been so damn occupied with silly stuff.
Bah, take two because whoops window closed by text. >_>

Description is... a very useful tool. =p It helps convey not just what something looks like, but how they act, how something happens, etc. Taking dialogue for example, description can help compliment it. E.g. '"Oh, nothing's wrong," she said.' vs '"Oh, nothing's wrong," she said quiet, biting her lip.'- while that's a pretty minor detail it helps suggest that something is wrong, or that she's annoyed.

In another example, say a Pokémon is using water gun on another Pokémon. While you can describe what the attack looks like, you can also describe how it's performed, and how the Pokémon act/react to it too. Considering the effects of a battle on each of the fighters, and also the setting (e.g. the dirt becomes muddy from all the water attacks), the trainers, etc, would add a fair bit to the battle, as it becomes more 'real' and easier for the reader to visualise everything that's happening. (But of course, describe too much and you'll just lose the reader).

Good description will also give more information than what it says. For example... 'The Pokémon cried out' would suggest it's in pain. Better yet, 'The bright glow of the Charmander's tail suddenly dampened to little more than a flicker of light' suggests that the attack really did a lot of damage to it, and without ever mentioning that fact directly/bluntly.

I suppose it's worth mentioning senses too - it's good to describe the smell of something, a sound, etc.

So I guess, really, description is a tool that you can use in a bunch of ways to add to the writing. It can make it more interesting, it can help convey additional information to the reader, and it doesn't really take much to do that either quite often. That's probably the problem with saying what it is, because it's pretty broad, haha. Hope that's at least some help? Specific examples would be cool too I suppose.

Hmm, I didn't recall posting it elsewhere, but I suppose I (or Astinus) may have. Was a while ago after all.

And heh, yay for Ludicolo sweep! I also have a video, if you have the battle recorder in your X&Y game. SY6G-WWWW-WWW5-MB2Q (gotta input that into it I think with a net connection though... so idk if you can see it).
Well, at the VERY least, you need to actually beat your rival in Kiloude City. Then, you have to meet up with Professor Sycamore in Anistar City at the Sundial. Afterwards, you need to return to Lumiose and wait for Looker to contact you. Maybe it's not as much work as I made it sound, but it took me a while to figure out that there was more to the post game than just hunting Mega Stones.
