Wonder if the pros were just sitting there looking up stuff in guides all day - they can't possibly know every detail about every game. :P

Same, I've been playing since R/B/Y. I still remember getting my Red copy, but I was too young to understand how to play it. It was my first RPG, actually. I remember getting stuck at the Elite Four and I couldn't down Lorelei because I didn't understand how the game worked.

Haha, you know way more about Pokemon than I do! :) I didn't know what STAB meant until I came back to gaming to play X/Y.

Do you go to the Battle Server on this website at all? You might do really well there. I haven't had any luck since I forget type weaknesses and strengths but you'll do really well there.

It's not that I don't like to play online, gaming is a great hobby and a healthy emotional outlet, but I've seen competitive video games bring out the worst in people. I used to play Street Fighter IV online, along with World of Warcraft back in the day, and I just got tired of grown adults acting like toddlers. I used to know someone who would throw tantrums when she didn't get her way or would lose a match, to the point of crying and throwing anything she could. I know that doesn't reflect the video game community as a whole, but it was very tiresome to deal with.

Malamar is great, I love the squid design. It reminds me of the legend of a giant squid that would attack and sink ships, haha. My favorite type is a toss up between psychic and ghost. Right now I'm really into Volcanion, but that's just because it was recently released. How long have you been playing Pokemon?

Yeah, you can never have too many friends. :) I actually have a hard time fitting in here because I don't take Pokemon, and gaming in general, seriously. People are super into it here and it can blow my hair back from time to time. Still though, it's a great community with great people.

Soul Silver is either my first or second favorite game! I loved that feature as well... but my favorite part was pokemon following you!

It can learn T-bolt, but flamethrower is better imo because it can hit steel-types.
