  • ...Actually, I think Edgeworth will do a better job at answering that question for me.

I think it might be she uses all her Pokemon as she sees fit. Similarly Blaine has an inconsistent main Pokemon. I think Gen 5 went off the original Kanto games for Gym Leaders main Pokemon as Blaine's main Pokemon is Arcanine. (With the obvious exception of Janine). In the anime Erika's main Pokemon is a Gloom which she holds very dear. I am guessing she evolved that one into Vileplume and found another one at some point to evolve into Bellossom. :) I can easily see Erika with a Lilligant too.

Random note - The Celadon Gym Episode was one of many times Ash crossdressed.

Some of them are quite well designed although I have not used any yet.

Indeed, all of Lusamine's Pokemon with the obvious exception of Bewear are all Pokemon I have used extensively. As well as fitting Lusamine's theme of beauty I must admit I did smile at seeing she had a Lilligant. :)

Yes, it is a very rare find similar to Stufful on Route 8. I managed to chain for a Hidden Ability Vulpix but it took me a while to find one at all. Bulbapedia is said it is a 10% chance in the grass immediately outside Tapu Village. I think it may be closer to 5%.

Update - I had an attempt at chaining a Shiny Alolan Vulpix by Tapu Village and luckily got a Shiny after 50 SOS calls. It's a tricky shiny to tell apart as the only difference is slightly more purple eyes and ears.

Shiny Ninetales is pinky purple though and a really good Shiny. Brave Nature isn't great but 4IV is good. She is female so contrasts with my Shiny Male Fire Ninetales caught in Alpha Sapphire. :)
Erika might be a Housewife but as Housewives are pretty much Aroma Lady's at least in Hoenn then I doubt she will be fat. Erika's Ace is implied to be Belllssom and Vileplume in the original, if we have Kanto re-re-remakes then Erika will likely have the Oddish line once again. :)

I can't remember where the Move Relearner is but I am currently hunting Ultra Beasts and was lucky enough to catch one with the ideal nature. :)

Note you get multiple specimens of the Version Exclusive Ultra Beasts meaning you can trade for the Moon Version exclusives and still have a full UB roster.

    Also a random note:
    Spoiler:
    Very true.

Whilst formerly forgettable Pokemon getting buffs is welcome I still have no plans to ever use the all too common Pelican it's the Pokemon most known for spamming Protect. I've never used Torkoal but I don't tend to use a lot of fire types anyway.

I had an Alolan Ninetales on my first Elite Four team so they are definitely available pre Elite Four. They are very rare in the Grass by Tapu Village though. There are also Snorunt, Pelipper and Absol in that patch.
In Game Queenly Majesty is very useful. It blocks Golisopods First Impression too which I think is a Bug Type Move. :)

A few Pokemon were tweaked this Gen. Pelipper got Drizzle as a non-hidden ability and Flannery's signature Pokemon Torkoal got Drought. Farfetch'd still could do with an evolution though.

    :D

Congratulations on the Shiny Zubat. I received a female one through Wonder Trade. She is now a Pink Crobat. :)

Alolan Vulpix are very rare. The earliest you can find one is in the Grass near Tapu Village where Snorunt are more common. Incidentally I currently have a Froslass on my team. :)
All very true and it is very welcome that Queenly Majesty is not a Hidden Ability. Incidentally the Fruit Pokemon's Hidden Ability is Sweet Veil.

Another Sad Fact for Stantler is that the Reindeer is overshadowed by Sawsbuck and has a quite unpleasant luminous green shiny.

In-Game I have found Vileplume to be very good indeed. It has been the star of every Monotype it has been allowed in so far (Kanto, Johto, Kalos). Apparently Bellossom gets Quiver Dance in Gen 7 possibly enabling it to get around its speed issue. Lilligant and Roserade have also served me well in Grass Monotypes. :)

I am filling the Pokedex for the Shiny Charm at the moment. I have not tried the Battle Tree yet.

Have you found any Gen 7 Shinys yet?
I haven't indeed played the Gen VI games, but honestly, I had no interest in them. People seem to be raving about Sun and Moon, so it's piqued my interest somewhat!
Dark type are immune to Prankster? What a strange and random buff. I found out whilst chaining for Shiny Cottonee that Tsareena's Queenly Majesty blocks Prankster too. :0. Tsareena gets High Jump Kick which should deal with the Wrestling Cat.

I always forget Drapion. Along with Carnivine and Stantler among the most forgettable Pokemon. Note that Drapion is Bug Type Elite Four Aaron's star Pokemon even though it is not a Bug Type.

If the hair was down it would definitely be a Gen 1 shoutout. The Beauty overworld sprites had green hair in Gen 3 the battle sprites themselves were blonde.

Much as I would like to import an Oddish it would make the monotype too easy. Once Totem Lurantis is done the game gets much easier for a Grass trainer...except one Elite Four Member.

If you are where I think you are you have one more Island to do and the Villain Boss before taking on the League. I think they did well with Team Skull but Aether did indeed need more screen time.
.... seriously?? :D omg omg omg gogmgofbfkfvkd

I'll let you know when I'm on later! Toooooo nice aaaaaaaaa
Or maybe it's an alternate universe! xD And isn't it a little early for Sinnoh? Oh wait, its tenth anniversary should be coming up soon!

Haha, I see. xD My sister is older than me and still plays Pokémon. :P

I'M HIDING NOTHING! Don't bother exploring this account's biography, haha. There's nothing to see. xD

I really want to either play it or at least watch a playthrough, but I still need to do that for Dual Destinies first before Spirit of Justice! Also, do you think Dai Gyakuten Saiban 1 and 2 will ever get localized? :o
Dang, I fell for it! xD That really was a spoiler after all, ahaha. Luckily, I already knew about the evolution part, because my sister spoiled me about that a while ago. :P

HOLY CRAP, I'M IN THE GAME?!?! THAT'S AN EVEN BIGGER SPOILER! :<

lol, you and your ships xD
I will likely only have an adorable Petilil at that point of the game along with Rowlet, Cottonee and maybe Eevee. Cottonee of course has Prankster which will make things easier although Totems can summon reinforcements even when asleep. :0

I am using the Lurantis line at the moment. I tried to chain for a Shiny One but stopped when I found a Hidden Ability Contrary one. It is my false swiper and having stats being heightened by Growl and the like that wild Pokemon like using is helpful. The Grass Totem Lurantis will not be easy in my Grass Monotype either as it is immune to Leech Seed and the like.

Yes. You can find high IV and a Hidden Ability Pokemon that way as well. It takes False Swipe, an adrenaline orb and quite a bit of patience however.

I forgot about the Skuntank line. Drapion is Poison/Dark too. I would not be surprised if you forgot about its existence however.

Yes, certainly an improvement on the Gen 6 Beauty designs. It might be coincidence but they remind me a lot of Gen 1 Beauty's with a different hairstyle.

Yes, the Oddish line which is a near mainstay in my Grass Monotypes but surprisingly is unavailable in Alola. Of course I plan to import my Shiny Vileplume and Lilligant to use in Sun's battle tree. :)
I am guessing the combination of Leech Seed and Sleep Powder will work well. I have just caught an adorable Shiny Cottonee for my future monotype as it is a Sun exclusive. She has a Sassy Nature and the Prankster Ability. :) 4 IVs too.

Yes but there are not as many ways as in Gen 6. Chain fishing, Dexnav and Friend Safari along with hordes are gone but SOS ally chaining seems to be a thing. I have 5 Shinys from said method with my latest being Cottonee. :D

I feel bad for Kanto Muk as there is no reason to use it now since the Alolan form seems to outclass it. It helped me with team balance and catching a Shiny one certainly helped. Whilst Alolan Grimer is underwhelming I do like Rainbow Muk. Shiny Alolan Grimer line purple instead of Green...just like regular Kanto Muk. :0 :)

Yes. The lack of rebattleable trainers is annoying. It might just be me but Beauty trainers seem to be all over Alola. :0

I will be starting my Grass Monotype in the new year sometime. :)
Sadly I have not, as I have no 3DS to play it on :(

My flatmate has just bought himself a copy of Sun and has been playing it pretty much 24/7, I may have to ask him if I can borrow it!
