Remember how I indicated that the movie may not have a teaser from what I gathered of the review from Pokebeach? Well, apparently it actually has a teaser. Sort of. It doesn't have any animation even pointing to what the plot of the film will be (in fact, it doesn't even have ANY animation at all), just a sign saying there will be a new movie Summer 2018. Quite frankly, I'm thinking they really shouldn't have bothered with that, especially after they wasted Marshadow by having it debut in this film (and make it grossly OOC from even its manga tie-in, let alone what was described of it in its Pokedex entry), and also not even bothering to animate the dang teaser anyways. When you don't even bother to animate a teaser, there's little point to even making the film since they clearly aren't looking forward to it. Besides, aside from wasting Marshadow, there are other factors to come into play as well. Namely, there's the fact that they haven't either announced an eighth generation (not to mention they stopped doing teasers for new generations early into a generation after Destiny Deoxys and Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. IF they bother teasing it, they generally wait until the final movie of a generation at LEAST), nor has Ash even progressed very far into his Alola journey, either, and there's little indication that he's even going to go much further this time next year either. Especially not with the way SM is going by killing off any chance at Ash continuing with his goal and how they ruined him.
