    Welcome to the fifth annual installment of the Favorite Pokémon Tournament, hosted here in Pokémon General! The goal of the Favorite Pokémon Tournament (also known as the FPT), is to determine the most popular Pokémon/Pokémon family of the users here at the PokéCommunity. This will be a 10-week set of polls running between now and December, where we'll pit almost all Pokémon of different types from past and present generations against each other to determine a winner. After we know the results of each type, we'll add all of those Pokémon to a final poll, where the winner(s) will be crowned champion, and will go down into the record books as PokéCommunity's favorite Pokémon of 2017!

    NOTE: Due to the number of existing Psychic type Pokémon, not all eligible Pokémon are present in the poll (inclusion is based on popularity from previous polls). If you want to vote for an unlisted Psychic type, check the "Other Pokémon" option represented by a (?), and leave a post with your vote.

    • Voted for Gardevoir (My second favourite Pokemon after Lilligant), Gothitelle, the incredibly adorable Alolan Raichu and my favourite Fire Type starter Pokemon Delphox.

    Honourable mentions to the original Legendary Mewtwo, Alakazam, Latias and Jynx.

    • Just noting a slight change that has been made to the poll that got overlooked when I was creating it- Cosmog, Cosmoem, and Lunala will be included in the finale by virtue of Solgaleo finishing in a tie for first in the Steel type poll, so they have been replaced with Necrozoma, who was supposed to be in the poll in the first place. Poll numbers have been updated to reflect the change, but if anyone wants me to change their vote, let me know!

    • Well, this will be quick... Mr. Mime was my favourite Psychic-Type and no Pokemon could take that spot until Espurr line in GEN VI. I also love Alolan Raichu design, so I voted for it.

    • It looks like we've got a two-way tie at the end of the poll, which means that Lugia will be making a trip to the finale, alongside the 2-time defending FPT champions, Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir, and Gallade!

    Be sure to check back here in PGen on Wednesday for the Fire and Water type polls, which will be our last 2 before the grand finale. See you then!
