I also got stuck after the second cave entrance. It may have something to do with the sideways stairs?

what cause stairs not to work right? one demo go ALPHA or Beta can we us old game save star over?

Dude, please make the full game as soon as possible. There was this awesome hack known as Pokemon Team Rocket Edition, the creator stopped working/is working very slowly, the game lost it's popularity. I don't want that to happen to this 'possible' amazing hack! Keep up the work.
