''Did I become a fisherman because I am patient, or did fishing make me patient? That is the question.'' is another nice one. There's also an NPC who frowns about Gyarados not being allowed to enter Amity Square.
 
"Remember my super cool Rattata? My Rattata is different from regular Rattata. It's like my Rattata is in the top percentage of all Rattata." ...And he will say this even after he evolves his Rattata into Raticate. :')
 
"Practice as if it were a real game! Play a real game as if it were practice!"

Game Freak really went all out with wisdom NPC texts when they made Gen 5.

I know its become a meme, but I Just liked the idea that I was being accosted by Kanto's version of Ralph Wiggum early into my LeafGreen adventure.
 
That swimmer girl in Hoenn who hints at hiding her Pokeballs in her bra or something haha, always wondered why Game Freak felt the need to incorporate that bit of flavour text, guess they were running low on ideas that day :')
