#27 Celebrations!

    Question Of The Day #27: What is your opinion on the Celebrations forum?

    As you may have been able to tell over the last week or so, PokeCommunity holds a special place where users can celebrate special occasions that may occur on or off the site. Promotions, birthdays, pairings, and anniversaries are some of the subject matters that are put on display in this section, and thus create a warm fuzzy feeling for all. At least that's what the general consensus is there.

    Have you had a celebration thread in honor of you in Celebrations? What was the occasion? Did you enjoy the fact that someone was thinking of you and made a thread about you? Or did you wish it was made by someone else? Or did you not want a thread to be created at all and didn't want to be put in the spotlight? For other users who didn't have a celebratory thread made for them, do you wish that your PC/non-PC life event was celebrated? Who would you like to create a future celebratory thread for you? How many times can I use the word 'celebrate' in this post?

    Feel free to discuss all entities of this topic below.​
     
    I haven't had a celebration thread, but then again I haven't had a celebration yet. I like the idea though, it was very tucked away before
     
    I've had a few. Mostly for my tenth year on PC as well as my birthday. Actually, that's probably all I've had. I don't care much for them because I don't know a majority of the people being celebrated for. So, it's rather rare for me to post. There's also the struggle of saying something that hasn't already been said, you know? My social skills aren't very good when it comes to celebrations and all that like either. I often find it hard to handle it in real life, so I think it catches up to me online as well.

    If anyone really pays any attention to me, it wouldn't matter who did it if it came up. However, I highly doubt anyone would unless I told them to do it. No one ever really asks me if they can or not. I just don't really care much anymore since no one seems to really care about me enough to post in my celebration threads anyway. *shrug* I know I sound like a real party pooper and all but... it's just that I'm not well known on the forums like I had been ten years ago. So, it's just something I ignore unless I know the person and have something to say.
     
    I've had celebration threads pretty much every single year I've been here, usually celebrating either my birthday or PCversary. So far I've had four birthdays threads and three PCversary threads, with another one to probably come in the next week given next Thursday will be celebrating four years here for me as a member.

    I really enjoy those moments where I get a thread made for whatever I achieve here, because it gives people an opportunity to throw adorable Oshawott pics at me. But I enjoy responding to everyone's threads when I can, whether it'd be a birthday, PCversary or a staff promotion.
     
    I've never had any celebration threads made for me, and I can't really see myself getting any. Of course, it would be pretty awesome to be acknowledged, though.

    For me, the Celebrations section serves as an easy way to see who the popular members of the forum are, because they are the ones that will receive celebration threads. ;)
     
    I've had threads made for me and I've made threads for others :3 It's a cute way of celebrating big and small events without spamming up someone's VM wall haha.
     
    Sadly, nobody has made a Celebrations thread for me - but that's understandable, i'm not quite one of the most well-known names on this site. *looks at post count*

    But it is a happy forum, given what it's meant to be for, so no complaints there.
