30 Days of Gaming V2

Day 13 - A game you've played more than five times

Man there are so many but I'd have to say the one that takes that would be Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3. I beat that game 26 total times on all the difficulties :D

Day 13 - A game you've played more than five times:

I'm stretching this a little since I haven't beaten any storyline-centric games, but I've played several different games to completion on Civilization IV, and it's probably the most fun and simplest to manage Civilization game for PC. It's certainly less time-consuming than III is, since III requires substantially more units and cities.

Day 14 - Current or most recent gaming wallpaper:

I honestly do not remember when or what that was. I know I've had screenshots of my Sim City regions as desktop wallpapers in the past, though.

Really late on this but what the heck.

Day 14 - Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper

I think this would be it. It's a wonderful fanart of Final Fantasy VI by KurkoBoltsi from DA. I remember turning this into a wallpaper because it just looked lovely. Not to mention the memories it just brings back from playing that game. It's a shame I had to either shrink it or crop off Kefka, but that's how it is. I guess my brother didn't like Final Fantasy VI enough and changed the current wallpaper into Soul Eater, haha.

Spoiler:

Day 14 - Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper

It would have to be a Red Steal 2 background. It wasn't really to do with the game having it as my background, but it was really cool. It is on my work computer.

Day 13 - A game you've played more than five times:
Ratchet and Clank 2. Probably about 10 times through.

Day 14 - Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper:
Probably Ezio from Assassin's Creed II. Resized desktop screenshot in spoiler below for those of you with tiny screens. :P Even though that one was only 1920x1080 before.
Spoiler:

Although I've been getting some screenshots of Bad Company 2 at 2560x1440, so I might be able to use them for something.

Day 13 A game you've played more than five times:
Heavy Gear II. I spent countless hours playing that game. It refuses to run on 7 so its been a couple years since I've last played.

Day 14 - Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper

Haven't used any. :(

Day 1 - Your First Video Game:
So my first game ever i think was on my old Windows 98 computer, I forgot the name but I just found it! It was called Fallen Haven, it was so so so hard. There were two other games that I used to play (KKND and Worms) and I don't know which of these three came first, but Fallen Haven was my favourite.

Day 3 - A game that is underrated:
Warhammer 40k: Fire Warrior. While I agree that this game is very very bad, I really liked it. The graphics are bad and the sound effects are just a pain to your ears.. maybe I only like it because it's a WH40k game and it gives some nice backstory and stuff..
Spoiler:

Day 4 - Your guilty pleasure game:
It didn't feel like this when I was younger, but MYST is one of my guilty pleasure games. Most people I know my age don't like it at all, and I feel like it's aimed at an older audience, but I just love everything about this franchise. I feel kind of sad I can't share this feeling with anyone, but Myst is one of my favourite games of all time.
Spoiler:

Day 8 - Best soundtrack:
Again, this would be Myst for me, especially Myst IV: Revelation. The music just fits very well with the environment, and the music itself is just very nice to listen to.
Spoiler:

Day 13 - A game you've played more than five times:
Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War. I've installed, uninstalled and reinstalled this game so many times, I can't get enough of it. It's moddable, the army colours are (almost) as customizeable as the tabletop models, it gives a lot of backstory and it's just plain fun to play.

Day 14 - Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper
My current wallpaper is from Emperor: Battle for Dune, this game introduced me to the Dune universe, and I'm very very glad, it's such a great book and stuff!

Only wallpaper I really used back then was a wallpaper of the galaxy map in the game Spore at the time. Not sure if I can find it nowadays though.

aaa wanted to do this earlier!!

Day 1 - Your First Video Game
Could be either Super Mario World on the SNES, or the PC game Trolls I used to play at my mom's friend's house >>
Spoiler:

Day 2 - Your favorite video game character
I HAVE YET TO PLAY IT BUT Ibuki from Street Fighter is at least one of my favourites (not the favourite though, I don't know if I have one).
Spoiler:

Day 3 - A game that is underrated

Gotta say ICO. It's not so much that the game is underrated but rather that it's just so unheard of while it is definitely one of the best games I've played and it deserves a lot more attention than it gets.

Day 4 - Your guilty pleasure game
Well that'd probably be Animal Crossing for Wii, I hardly play it anymore but I've played this game for hours and hours on when I first got it and even though it's not even that exciting I still feel the urge to play it sometimes.

Day 6 - Most annoying character
FI AND NAVI FROM TLOZ, and RESETTI from Animal Crossing aaaaaa.

Day 8 - Best soundtrack
ICO and Shadow of the Colossus both have beautiful soundtracks, I still listen to them occasionally.

Day 9 - Saddest game scene
One that springs to mind is the scene with Midna in TLoZ: Twilight Princess, I mean I didn't cry or anything because I was playing it together with someone but it was definitely touching.

Day 10 - Best gameplay
Twilight Princess again here, I absolutely adored that game and enjoyed every bit of it, good story and didn't get boring. ALSO, AMNESIA: THE DARK DESCENT. Those physics are just wooowww and I freaking love this game.

Day 11 - Gaming system of choice

Probably PS2, and then PC and GC/Wii go on par. I'm annoyed if I can't play with GC controllers on a Wii game though.

Day 12 - A game everyone should play
adding later

Day 13 - A game you've played more than five times
Yeah that'd be Pokémon. It's different than other games in the sense that you can change so much about every play-through: your name, team, character, objective (challenges, etc), and so on.

Day 14 - Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper
Hahhaha the last time I had a game wallpaper was a loong time ago, it was a Metroid one and it was p nice!

Day 1 - Your First Video Game
When I think back, the first game I had ever owned was Mario Kart: Double Dash for the Nintendo Gamecube.

Day 2 - Your favorite video game character

I would have to say Captain John "Soap" MacTavish from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series. He's a witty scotsman who will die for what he believes in.

Day 3 - A game that is underrated

Not just a game, but the entire series. The Timesplitters series is one that lots of people don't know but have some clever gameplay and game mechanics. A defenat fav.

Day 4 - Your guilty pleasure game
Call of Duty: Black Ops. The story, graphics and gameplay aren't near as good as the Modern Warfare series, but I just play mostly for the Zombies mode and Multiplayer's ability to support bots.

Day 6 - Most annoying character
General Shepard from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Day 8 - Best soundtrack
I quiet enjoy the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (2010) soundtrack.

Day 9 - Saddest game scene
That's a tough one. I would have to say the saddest game seen for me was the cutscene before the Call of Duty Modern: Warfare 3 level Stronghold.

"There's a clocktower in Hereford where the names of the dead are inscribed. We try to honor their deeds even as their faces fade from our memory. Those memories are all that's left, when the b******* have taken everything else." - Captain John Price

Price is talking about the death of his best friend and squad-mate, John MacTavish. It's just the emotion behind it that makes it so sad and touching.

MacMillian: What happened?
Price: He killed Soap. He's gone, Mac.
~~~
MacMillian: What'd you plan on doin'?
Price: What you taught me to do. Kill 'em all.
Day 10 - Best gameplay
The Call of Duty series.
Day 11 - Gaming system of choice
Xbox 360
Day 12 - A game everyone should play
Timesplitters Future Perfect. A great comical first-person shooter.
Day 13 - A game you've played more than five times
Pokemon, 'nuff said.
Day 14 - Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper
The Task Force 141 logo from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Day 15 - Post a screenshot from the game you're playing right now
Here's one of them:
Spoiler:
I have been meaning to try this game for a very long time. It's definitely as good as it's portrayed, too — and with that, is my second-favourite Nintendo 64 title.
Day 15 - Post a screenshot from the game you're playing right now
Can't really screenshot it since it is on my DS but yeh, Pokemon Black I am currently playing.
14: Wallpaper - Ironically, I have never had any XD I only use pictures and all.
15: Screenshot - Hard to take one from my 3DS itself, but the Internet has done that for me:
Spoiler:
Day 15 - Post a screenshot from the game you're playing right now
Spoiler:
I've actually played through this game once since I enjoyed Paper Mario so much. Sadly, I only got to a certain part in the middle of the game before having my save file wiped out. I do remember managing to complete the whole party, though. But yeah, at the moment I'm replaying it again, after a long time.
Day 15 - Post a screenshot from the game you're playing right now
Today should be my last day of Final Fantasy XIII-2. I have one more trophy to get before I have all of them and I think it's doable in one day. n_n
Here is Hot Dog! He's my commando. :D He has a sheep on his head. He got me the "deal 99,999 damage in one hit" trophy ages ago without being overlevelled and without even trying. He has even taken down endgame bosses by himself when I wasn't paying attention. He is very derp and he's the reason I love this game so much. (Also, zoomed in for uhhh... detail!)
And, while I only play it on the bus to/from school now since I still don't really know how to do completion yet, here's my favourite screenshot from Kingdom Hearts 3D, all blurry and grainy and concealed slightly by the pause button because no easy way to take DS screenshots. ;~;
spoiler warning: this is from the ending cutscene, but it doesn't reeeally have anything spoilery, it's just hilarious. but still, view at own risk!
Spoiler:
Day 16 - Game with the best cut scenes
Oooo, Tales of Symphonia wins this one. I love watching the different cut scenes; animated or not.
Some of my favourite moments were animated and it was just so beautifully done.
