Yeah, it's like offering Paras life to the tochukaso, just look at Parasect's souless eyes. The Paras line is perhaps based on the real lifeZombie Ants or the horror and gore anime/manga Parasyte.

Or a shaman as a Grass Expert user with the design like of Palace Maven Spenser from the Emerald version. :)

Talking of Celadon Gym there are 8 trainers (Including Erika) in that Gym and none use the Paras line...I always thought Exeggutor was the forgotten Gen 1 Grass Type but now I think it is the Paras line.

Battle with Erika

Having negotiated seven battles Red approached an elegant woman in a yellow Kimono.
The woman opened her eyes slightly 'You wish to battle? She said. 'I am Erika, Leader of Celadon Gym and user of the Grass Type.'
Red was silent.
'I will not lose.' The woman said.

Erika sent out Victreebel, Red sent out Gloom. Victreebell used PoisonPowder, Nothing happened Gloom used Acid, Victreebell used PoisonPowder again, Nothing happened.
'Lady Erika'. A pretty blonde girl said 'It's not working.'
Erika was in a world of her own however and did not react when Victreebell fainted to another Acid attack.

Erika was undeterred and sent out Tangela. It too fainted after two Acid attacks. Erika sent out Vileplume.
'My main Pokemon...and yours...interesting' She said still somewhat faintly.
Erika told Vileplume to use PoisonPowder...was she throwing the match. After three Acid Attacks it too fainted to Gloom and Red had won.

Erika now fully awake smiled 'Your team all Grass Types...like mine'.
'Lady Erika.' The pretty blonde said. 'let him stay with us here.'
Erika was silent before shaking her head. 'No.' She said softly. 'This is a Female only Gym...and I want you to become Grass Type Champion'
Red was silent.
'Oh and please evolve your Gloom here with your Leaf Stone and take this TM Mega Drain.'

Red used the Leaf Stone on Gloom and it evolved into Vileplume in front of the Grass Leader and her trainers. Erika smiled and said 'Good luck...we will all be cheering you on...and beat that rude rival...'
Erika had dozed off mid sentence and Red went on his way Fourth Gym Badge in hand.

I like the idea of a Grass Shaman. Maybe he could have Celebi as his Ace.

Not to mention, out of all Grass-type Trainer Classes they are the ones with the most dedicated to their type, with the exception of one Aroma Lady in the Sinnoh based games who uses a Combee.
2. If you were to create a new trainer class to specialise in the Grass Type what would they be called? Would they be Male or Female? Which Grass Type Pokemon would they use.

1. What is your favourite Grass Type Trainer Class and why?

My favourite Grass Type Trainer Class is the Aroma Lady Class. Not only do they use Grass Types almost exclusively but their signature move 'Sweet Scent' is very useful in finding Hoards and with enough patience Shiny Pokemon.

There are two designs of Aroma Ladys. The RSE/ORAS version with the pink top and the flower in the hair and the Sinnoh version which has a long green skirt and long dark brown hair. The Sinnoh Aroma Lady sprite is my trainer class in the whole series.

2. If you were to create a Trainer Class to specialise in Grass Type what would they be?

I would create the Flower Girl Class. They would be female and a mix between the Aroma Lady Class and Kimono Girl Class. They would have long blonde or black hair with a flower in. They would also have on long dresses of White, green or yellow. They would carry flowers in their sprite and use Grass Types based on flowers. All will carry either a Bellossom, Vileplume or Venusaur on their team.

Cottonee is an excellent choice. Their evolved form Whimsicott is one of my favourite Pokemon and I often have one on my team.

There is a natural and almost serene beauty to Grass types that I also find pleasing.

Aroma Ladys are the prototypical Grass Trainers and whilst they were only introduced in Gen 3 they are the go-to class for Grass Types.

I like the idea of a Florist type class. It is possible we could get this in a future game as we have already some 'Job' classes like Clerk and Pilot. I wonder what a male florist would look like.

In addition to the Pokemon listed I can also see the Florges line being used by them, whilst not Grass Type they learn several Grass Type moves, an ability (Flower Veil) which helps Grass Types and of course are strongly based on flowers.

My favorite grass starter is Turtwig! I find it really cute. I also like how Torterra has a tree on its back where you could probably sleep or rest on. My 2nd favorite would be Chikorita; though its evolutionary line has a bit of a simplistic design, I think they're quite charming.

Turtwig is cute, and grows into quite a tank. Does pretty well in most Sinnoh playthroughs, and Chespin seems to sorta do the same with Kalos, tanking hits but also hitting hard. But I think all the Grass-type starters are awesome in their own unique way and that's what we have to appreciate them for.

I have done a couple of Grass Monotypes lately and they have been fun. Grass Types level up quickly so Grass Monotypes are not as tough as you might think they are.

Turtwig is a good pick for favourite Grass Starter. Grass/Ground is a unique typing and his evolved form Torterra has an excellent design and packs a punch.

Chikorita is a very cute Pokémon and is one of the few Pokemon that stays cute throughout it's line. Hopefully it gets a Mega Evolution soon.

My favourite Grass Starter however is the Treecko. Not only does it have a cute design for it's baby form, it has an impressive middle evolution as well as an imposing final and Mega. Grass/Dragon is a cool and unique typing for his Mega and makes sense due to the Treecko lines reptilian origins.
