The
Maester sat at his desk, writing another set of letters. He had been given five new items to hand out to the group, but he couldn't share them amongst all of them.
A riddle!
He decided a riddle was the best way to give out the items.
The first person to answer the riddle correctly would receive the dagger, which would allow them to freely (and secretly) kill another player. The second to answer correctly would receive a suit of armor to protect them from any attempted assassination. The third would receive a vial of milk of the poppy, which they could slip into someone's drink, rendering them mute for an entire day phase. The fourth would receive a poison to slip into someone's food, killing them in two days (Day XIV). The fifth would be allowed direct contact with another player of their choosing.
He pondered for a moment, then decided on a riddle:
In a room there are three great men, all powerful men in their own right. A King, a Priest, and a Wealthy Banker. Between the three is a sellsword, a common man with no great mind or influence. Each of the great men bids him to kill the other two.
The King says, "Slay them for I am your lawful king."
The Priest says, "Slay them for I command you in the name of the gods."
The Wealthy Man says, "Slay them and I will make you rich."
Tell me, then, who is the most powerful man?
PM me your responses and be quick about it. Be confident in your answer though because answering incorrectly may yield poor results for you.
