What is your Astrological Sign, and how closely do you think it relates to your personality?

For bonus points, answer the same question, but about your Chinese Zodiac Sign.

My answer: I'm a cancer and I'd say it fits me pretty well. Imaginative, check. Cautious, check. Sympathetic, check. Touchy...check. Changeable....sometimes.

As for the ox, I'd say I agree. I think I'm pretty persistent/hard-working (if it interests me) I'm also very stubborn and a little anti-social. By that I mean that I'd just prefer to stay home rather than go to a party, not that I sit in a corner and growl at humans that get too close O.o

I am an Aries and I think I fit the bill quite well. I'm impatient, pretty short tempered with a volcanic rage just waiting to erupt and I am impulsive too.

I'm a Leo and honestly I don't really fit most of the traits associated with it. I'm faithful and loving and creative and stuff, but I wouldn't say I'm as generous as some others or as warm hearted as some other people. I also don't fit any the negatives either. Well, I guess I fit the interfering side of it but that's about it really. Mostly though I tend not to fit my star sign.

As for being born in the year of the dog I'd say I fit this one a lot better. I wouldn't say I'm that reliable or very responsible, but I very honest and I'm quite the pessimist for the majority of the time. I'm also a very anxious but nosy person, which I always use to thing was an odd combination but I guess it's not going off this thing.

Capricorn. Full fledged Capricorn. It describes me...to a point. I'm not going to say completely, since I can make a tweak here and there...but it does describe me fairly well.

Patient. Hardworking. Serious. Not so romantic. Loyal. Common sense. Alert. Cautious. Would rather save money than spend it. Yep. That's me.

As for my chinese Zodiac...I'm an Ox, I believe. I definitely am a home person, and it describes me well...although some books say I'm a rat, so honestly, I'm not certain.

I'm a Scorpio, and according to a website I'm referring to, that makes me loyal, passionate, resourceful, observant and dynamic; but also jealous, obsessive, suspicious, manipulative and unyielding.

Out of those traits, I'd say I in some way fit loyal, passionate and jealous. So 3/10 ain't bad? That said, I've never been a believer in astrology, so I wouldn't expect it to be any more correct than what could be attained by pot luck :P

Gemini in the hizzle! Apparently I'm: adaptable and versatile, communicative and witty, intellectual and eloquent, youthful and lively... but also nervous and tense, superficial and inconsistent, cunning and inquisitive

Apart from the 'superficial and inconsistent' one, I have been known to be all of these at one point or another. Some of them come and go depending on my mood or the situation, but I'm a surprisingly faithful Gemini, it would appear.

In terms of the Chinese Zodiac, I am a horse. Let's have a looksie, then:

Some website that I found this on said:
the Horse symbolizes such character traits as strength, energy, and an outgoing nature. Extremely animated, Horses thrive when they're the center of attention. Always in search of a good time, Horses keep the crowds happy with their humor and their wit.
Horses are extremely intelligent so they're able to grasp new subjects with ease. They're also capable of multi-tasking however they don't always finish what they start because they're forever chasing the next opportunity. Horses are honest, friendly and open-minded. They're perhaps a bit too centered on themselves and have been known to throw tantrums when situations don't go their way.
I'm less a horse than I am a Gemini. I don't like being the centre of attention, and I wouldn't say I was naturally outgoing. I do like to think I had a sense of humour and wit about me, as well as being 'honest, friendly and open-minded'... but self-centred is the last thing I'd say I'd be. And I'm not a great multi-tasker, either! :D

EDIT: Also, I'm apparently a Metal Horse, having been born in 1990. The same website says this:

The same website as above said:
Free-spirited in every sense of the word, commitment is the easiest way to scare Metal Horses away. They prefer jumping from one relationship or job to the next. Because of this, Metal Horses make better friends than partners.
I'm not really sure how true this is, to be honest... but it feels kinda damning! Oh well. These aren't set in in stone, right? ...right?

I am a Pisces. I have always felt this fits me to a T and to be honest I just think I'm the perfect exemplary Pisces. xD
The general personality traits I've heard of have been receptiveness, understanding, placidity, kindness, compassion, generosity, acceptingness, helpfulness, imaginativeness, absentmindedness, escapism, profundity, insecurity, self-doubt, wistfulness, sensitivity, self-desctructiveness, indecisiveness, dependency, and hesitation.
And these all fit me like a very comfy perfectly-sized glove. Lol I have twenty hands.

    Also this:
    Spoiler:

I used to be like this but I overcame it. However in my experience no one truly 100% "gets over" their childhood psychopathologies so I think little characteristics of this kind of thing will always occasionally present themselves in me in extreme times.
Honestly I just love zodiac signs and think they're so fun. I know they're not technically real and no one even uses the right ones any more, but it's just one of those fun little things to think about to escape the rigid seriousness of real life. ^^

I am master of the Pisces!!! :D

For the heck of it here are everyone else's (links to the "derp personality disorder" things ^^):
Aries Taurus Gemini Cancer Leo Virgo Libra Scorpio Sagittarius Capricorn Aquarius

I was born in early October, so I'm a Libra.

I am sorta diplomatic, graceful, fair, indecisive and social... something that describes my sign well.

    Spoiler:

I have to say that I fit that description well. Go figure.

For my Chinese sign... I was born in 1992, so I'm a cheeky Monkey. A Water Monkey to be specific.

I have the standard Monkey personality - creative, versatile, polite and witty. No wonder I am so funny...

I'm very much like my signs. I'm a Scorpio-Snake.. and they are pretty much parallel in regards to zodiac signs. Super passionate, a planner, and will retaliate if threatened or hurt.

My favourite site for zodiac stuff is this one:
    https://www.usbridalguide.com/special/chinesehoroscopes/Snake.htm

The Snake is the intuitive, introspective, refined and collected of the Animal Signs. They are attractive people who take cries with ease and do not become flustered easily. They are graceful people, exciting and dark at the same time.
Contemplative and private, the Snake is not outwardly emotional. He can appear cunning and reticent and works very modestly in the business environment. The Snake will plot and scheme to make certain things turn out exactly as they want them to.

    SCORPIO SNAKE
These individuals have hidden emotions and feelings that rarely ever surface. They are quite guarded with their thoughts and opinions and do not upset easily.

Yup. All me. I don't think there's something I disagree with.

I'm a Taurus, and my Chinese Zodiac is a Horse, so I'm:

From what I've read of them, they're mostly pretty fitting, haha. I do also identify with Leo a lot, being raised by a few of them.

    Wikipedia said:
Taurus has been seasonally associated with the flourish of spring. Because the season has settled, astrologers call it a fixed sign, indicating stability, resistance to change, and the ability to 'enjoy the people'. According to astrologers, the sign is governed by Earth, the planet of beauty, procreation and indulgence, which adds the traits of creativity and appreciation of life's material luxuries. The moon is also associated with this sign, which it governs by exaltation. Due to its earthness, some astrologers place Saturn a "fall" planet or peregrine to Taurus in this manner and is widely shared with Aries and Virgo.

Astrologers classify Taurus as a negative or passive (introvert) sign. This gives the characteristics of being reflective, receptive to the ideas of others: typically, a 'thinker' rather than a 'doer'. But being of the earth-triplicity, Taurus is considered by astrologers to be a highly practical sign which is happiest when involved in some kind of creative process. Although generally considered easy-going and placid, as a fixed sign Taureans are likened to the bull in being slow to show anger, but capable of raging if pushed too far. And they take time to eventually act on their anger and basically when they (Taureans) do, be rattled, because there's no telling what they'll unleash upon you. It is also said Taureans enjoy basic 'creative comforts' and don't allow others to disturb them easily, but they don't forgive and forget easily. Joanna Watters defined a keyphrase for this sign as "I possess", and summarises its strengths and weaknesses: "The positive side to this fixity is a ferocious willpower and absolute loyalty to loved ones, although they need to guard against possesiveness.

    Wikipedia again said:
Horse – 馬 / 马 (午) (Yang, 3rd Trine, Fixed Element Fire): Cheerful, popular, quick-witted, changeable, earthy, perceptive, talkative, agile, magnetic, intelligent, astute, flexible, and open-minded. Can be fickle, arrogant, childish, anxious, rude, gullible, rebellious, and stubborn.

I'm a Taurus, which I've always thought fit me very very well. :P I'm probably one of the most stubborn people on the planet, which I somewhat believe comes largely from being a Taurus lol. This description of a Taurus I found while googling caught my attention:

That's why Taureans are sometimes regarded as snobby, withdrawn, boring, or even sulky.

Minus the "snobby" part, this fits me very well. I'm quite withdrawn, not very fun to be with in real life in my honest opinion, and sulk a bit over little things decently enough.

    My Chinese zodiac sign's a sheep, which I've never really read about. According to the article I'm reading, the sheep prefers to daydream and keep their thoughts to themselves, which makes it hard for others to figure out what's going on in their heads. We also prefer alone time. Scary how accurate that is XDD;

Why was this the first thing that came to my mind upon reading the thread title?
    [PokeCommunity.com] A Taurus In A China Shop.

    (Ford Taurus)

Anyway, I'm Scorpio, which is... surprisingly accurate. I'm quite passionate, tenacious, resourceful, obsessive, suspicious, secretive, cunning, quick tempered, and manipulative. Anyone who's known me for any length of time here knows my obsessive and passionate nature regarding things such as Buicks, magical girl anime, and Leaf from Pokemon; and how I'm quite secretive as far as keeping my RL identiy a secret (IRL, I also don't like my parents going into my room, and I can be quite quick-tempered with them. I'm also a master manipulator as far as getting others to do favors for me). Maybe I should take more stock in astrology, that description is terrifyingly accurate.

I'm a Capricorn. It suits me well enough. I found a few quote-y things that make sense to me.

    • One of the biggest fears of a Capricorn is feeling like a failure.
    • Because of their natural silent demeanor, you'll know that a Capricorn likes you and is comfortable with you if they are being funny and goofy.
    • Your need to be conservative and your desire to be daring at the same time often confuses others.
    • As a Capricorn, you expect more from yourself than you do from anyone else.
But also some things that don't really fit me at all.

    • As a Capricorn, one of your biggest strengths is your persistence to push through all the suffering and hard work in order to get to your goal.
    • If there was any reason a Capricorn would procrastinate, it would be because they'd want to figure out the best possible angle to go about it.
I'm definitely not the motivated person that Capricorns are supposed to be.

My astrological sign is cancer, and I suppose it fits me well. I am imaginative and pretty adaptable, but I disagree with sensitive and moody. And apparently, cancers aren't very vengeful, which is also something I'm not.

For my Chinese zodiac sign, I'm a rat. Apparently they're energetic and resourceful, or full of wit, and I suppose that fits well. Oh, and they're also imaginative, which I've already answered before.

I'm a Virgo. The first site that came up on google lists me as:
"Analytical, observant, helpful, reliable, and precise; but skeptical, fussy, inflexible, cold, and interfering."
    Helpful and reliable are the huge ones that I agree with, and inflexible and fussy are the ones I'd say for the negatives. Not bad I guess. It seems like virgos are supposed to be intelligent but I am not. XD;

As for the Chinese zodiac, I am a snake. I pulled this list from Wikipedia as it was the first thing that came up in google for "Chinese zodiac."
"Deep thinker, wise, mystic, mysterious, graceful, soft-spoken, sensual, creative, prudent, shrewd, elegant, cautious, intellectual, responsible, calm, compassionate, strong, constant, and purposeful. Can be a loner, bad communicator, possessive, hedonistic, self-doubting, distrustful, mendacious, suffocating, narcissistic, and cold."
The ones that stick out to me are loner and self-doubting. Creative as well. I had to have one positive trait right?

So overall, I'd say hit or miss. I don't certainly feel as wise and intelligent as these things claim I am. :s

    Spoiler:

Am I a Libra? Yes, yes I am.

Scorpio. I don't really pay attention to horoscope stuff, so lemme see...

    Spoiler:
...Well I guess that's true, ahah. I'm not one for group activities most of the time.

Scorpio for me, I'm infamous for my resourcefulness and ability to manipulate others whenever the situation calls for it nowadays. That and I can be one stubborn son of a ***** too lol.
