News: Alolan Muk and New Characters for Sun and Moon

The more I think about Tsareena and the moves it'll likely learn the more I want it. It seems obvious that it's a Physical Attacker and that it'll learn alot of the kick based Fighting Moves. Not counting Popplio it might be the only none Fairy on my team.

Also, Silvally is another pokemon I want.

I, uh, I may have thought the alolan muk was fake at first since I saw it elsewhere and definitely wasn't expecting them to do something that garish. It does look better when animated. It just looks so odd as a static image.

Silvally and the dragon line - oh I'm in love. Cool designs for all of them, and the dragons certainly did not disappoint me. :D I mean, I like the other pokemon shown as well, but those ones are the ones I'm particularly fond of.

Ever since the first four trial captains were revealed, I saw them as a reference to the first four mascots/starters. Well, Normal happens to fit into that original starters' types theme going on. Green/Blue gets an Eevee as his starter in Yellow.

I actually really like Alolan muk(Once you see the animated 3D sprite)

Wow harsh :(
So many people don't like my evolution.

Personally I prefer Ribombee to Cutiefly.

I still feel like it has a lot of potential to grow, even though I'm not sure if I want it on my team yet. There's a lot of competition.

Alolan Muk looks way better than I thought it would. But I still don't see how it gained a Dark typing.

I'm guessing it's because this Muk is more aggressive in how it searches for stuff to eat. All the information about Muk from previous games said that it was basically just a walking sludge pile without any real intent to harm anyone even though it would if it got near you.

That, or that Alola Muk doesn't give off a stink so it can be sneakier.

Alolan Muk is surprisingly better than what I was expecting. I think the rainbow colour effect is a nice touch and it seems like a significant difference from Alolan Grimer.

Looks like rainbow muk's coloration is based off mechanical fluids that leak out and take on a colorful appearance in the water. Looks so toxic that something would die just from touching it.

I actually think Alolan Muk is really cool, the constant moving of its toxic colors makes it incredibly appealing to me. Love me some colorful pokemon!

Also in case anybody is curious, I believe that Alolan Muk is based on a toxic process called "Synroc Vitrification", which is the filtering of radioactive and toxic wastes through a series of acid baths until the dangerous toxins are vitrified into a crystal substance called Synroc. Synroc crystals are considered inert and safe until broken open or melted, which then reverts them into their highly radioactive and/or toxic quality which are incredibly dangerous and often deadly.

I find it kind of dissapointing that the Kahunas are Type Specialists too. We already have the Trial Captains doing that, so why introduce another boss that you can sweep with one Pokemon? On the other hand, I'm loving Olivia's design, and she seems to be around the level 27-29 area, and since that's just the first two islands that seems to indicate a higher level curve, like XY (doesn't mean the game will be any harder though). Also Gladion and his Arceus are shown around level 50ish too I believe, and I think they might be in the canyon on the last island? So possibly one of the final areas.
I wonder if Olivia's Lycanroc will be different depending on which game you play? Maybe the opposite of yours, even though the Midnight one seems to suit her, imo. Also that artwork of Gladion makes him look even MORE like a Jojo character they're not even trying to hide it.

I'm SO glad Mega Kanga got nerfed at least somewhat, I wonder if this will reduce her from Uber status.

I kinda love Alolan Muk's colours, it looks pretty, and I feel like Guzma will use one.

Man, I might have to do a solo Grass run of this game one day because holy cow.... Rowlet, Lurantis and now this? They're all just such great designs!

I just realize Alolan Muk is the first pokemon with 4 different color scheme animation. I wonder what it's shiny form will look like, =O

Wholeheartedly agreeing that Grass types this generation are given some exceptional treatment, tbh. Of course, I'm biased because Grass is one of my favourite types ever but still!!

I can definitely understand you, given you're a Grass-type fan and Team Rowlet supporter here. I feel this generation has spoiled us for choice as far as awesome-looking yet adorable Grass-types are concerned, and I have to admit I was very torn between Fomantis and Bounsweet for a while and Bounsweet evo reveals have pretty much sealed the mangosteen as part of my future team.

Alolan Muk's sludge looks so trippy. Makes me want to use one in competitive battles.

Silvally without its helmet looks sick. The fact that it's Arceus lite is neat; it even has its own set of "plates" to change its type with. RKS System kind of feels like we're forced to use the hard C instead of the soft C like some of us have been doing (this is understandable, since the British don't want to do the soft C pronunciation).

The evolved forms of Cutiefly and Bounsweet are cute. I'm interested in the potential that Tsareena has in battle, despite the fact that Queenly Majesty is a Dazzling clone.

I barely use Grass types and I have to admit I LOVE all of this gen's !!

Silvally's name is a bit silly if you ask me. Silvadi sounds a bit more badass. But it's not as ridiculous as Type: Null.

Hakamo-o and Kommo-o look very cool, and I have a feeling this'll be Alola's pseudo-legendary. Although I would've kept the name Jararanga for the last evo.

Bounsweet's evolutions look very nice. I didn't want Bounsweet at first, but these gals could make me change my mind. Although they would've made great counterparts for the Fomantis line if Bounsweet didn't exist, and Queenly Majesty seems to be a Dazzling clone.

Ribombee... meh...

So Alola Grimer and Muk get Bite and Crunch? I think they should get Knock Off too!

Yeah, I'm gonna be nicknaming Type:Null/Silvally if I get one. And I'll be nicknaming Jangmo-o after Kommo-o's Japanese name.

Not a fan of "cute" Pokémon tbh. Don't like Bounsweet or its evos, and Cutiefly and it's evo.... bleugh!!!

Kommo-o is pretty awesome looking... Now that it's game visuals are featured.

Muk is very trippy looking and the teeth are way too much.

Bounsweet line is way too Bionce for me.. Not into humanoid Pokemon too much

Cutiefly is cute, but again he looks like tiny Tim from Christmas Carol

My thing is... It is a multiple island region... Surrounded and mostly traveled by water.. Where are the water types? Where is an awesome Alolan Horsea and tenticool?

I'm more interested on the Mega Evolution scene on the Japanese trailer.
Have anyone notice that the video didn't show player activating his keystone ?

Honestly , I would prefer Kommo-o to have wings !
I'm wondering what's is a Darkness that he suppose to defeat.

Did anyone notice that in both the international and Japanese trailers, Kommo-o battles a pseudo-legendary? Respectively, Garchomp and Dragonite... It really seems to be Alola's pseudo, but might be just a coincidence.
