    "Unexplained death"
She has clearly OD'd. It is tragic when a young adult dies, but if I am brutally honest, I saw it coming after I saw a video of her last live performance.

I saw these words and became immediately sad. I don't know if she died of drug abuse or not, but I think it is most likely the cause. I hate drugs; I have seen too many friends succumb to their evil. That's why I kinda didn't like the meaning behind "Rehab". It kinda encourage other young people to not seek help, and that drug abuse is ok. Once, you see a good friend die in the hospital from prescription pill abuse, it just make you hate drugs. I hope her death is not in vain; I hope her fans, like me, don't follow the same path.

It's actually pretty sad, even though I think anyone would've guessed it would happen eventually. She was a known addict and what will now be a sad tune to hear, "Rehab", made it clear she wouldn't be stopping until she ended up like this. Her talents were definitely overshadowed by her personal life, but still, it's never enjoyable to see someone die, let alone someone with five Grammys under their belt.

And she joined the 27 club.

AMY WINEHOUSE DEAD!!! In other news, 85 people died in Norway yesterday...

Now don't tell me you didn't see this coming. Don't get me wrong, I thought Amy Winehouse was very talented, but that's what happens when you fill yourself with booze and drugs.

As you can expect, Amy is trending at the height of twitter. That's fair enough. But Janis Joplin is also trending because she is also a member of the 27 Club: Musicians who have died at the age of 27. Did I just imagine the events in Norway yesterday or something?

I guess Amy should have said "Yes, Yes, Yes."

She had such I beautiful raspy voice; this is just a shame. This truly epitomizes the effects of drug abuse.

Dang, my thread idea was stolen. Haha

Anyways, this truly is tragic. I hope it isn't related to her addictions. May she rest in peace.

It's sad when someone so young and so talented wastes their life away because of drug abuse and alcoholic addition. I can't say I listened to Amy Winehouse a lot, but I know she was very popular for her distinct talent and raspy voice. Regardless of how unsurprising her death may be to many, it's still sad to hear she's passed away. I can only imagine the accomplishments she could have achieved with the many more years she could have had in her lifetime.

This is of no surprise to me
I was just listening to my favorite podcast and last week when they reported on a story about about her they said this chick wouldn't even make it to her 30's
Heck Courtney Love I think has done a lot worse than Amy Winehouse surprised she's made it to her age

I don't really think the media makes drugs look cool, look at Lindsay Lohan, Whinehouse, or anyone else who has been outted as being a drug user. The media just makes fun of them and tries their hardest to get a picture of them to trash them some more.

While on the discussion of drugs though, anyone watching this Celebrity Rehab?
I use to like Dr. Drew but I kinda think his just an exploiter.
None of these people on this show with real trouble have been cured, they continue to come back because VH1 pays them, and these people do have real problems and yet instead of seeking real help this "Rehab" is just another gig.

Then go talk about them in their designated thread. I'm sorry you're gonna be the one I call this out on, but I am sick of people trying to sound all goodie two shoes in threads about someone's death when they talk about other people dying. It's annoying and kind of disrespectful to whoever the thread is about, and in this case it's about Amy Winehouse. It's sad, yes, but this thread isn't about them. That thread is here.

    Moving on...

That woman could belt like a big, black diva. Can't say I listened to her music that much, but I did love Rehab, and no one can deny she had some serious talent. Shame that talent has gone due to drug abuse and whatnot. Never a good thing when someone passes, especially when, like Klippy said, they've got 5 Grammies on'em. There could have been MOOOOORE. Moral of the story? When they try to make you go to rehab, say "yes, yes, yes." RIP Amy.

I was a big fan of Amy Winehouse. I think she had her biggest shot at recovering in the past few years. When I read she'd been admitted to a clinic earlier this year, and after she promised a new album that never materialised, I knew that she wouldn't be able to get better.

I just hope she's in a better place now.

This is so sad. I wasn't a fan of her, but she was extremely talented and it's a shame that she got wrapped up with drugs and alcohol. I hope she is in a better place now, and I am terribly sorry for her friends, family, and all her fans.

D: Today is a sad day.

Seriously, how can you be so disrespectful? This post just makes me sick, and I have no idea what went through your head to make you think it was alright to post this.

One death is not to be trumped by 85 deaths. Each person is equally important, despite their past, and for you to say what you said..that's just repulsive.

Actually Sydian makes a good point for once in his white boy life.

Maybe some good can come out of this, I mean dumb teens who are affected by the media and spend all day putting these celebrities on a pedestal could see that even at the young age of 26 you're not invincible

But then again we don't know COD

For all we knew she slipped and fell

I was not a fan of her music, but it's always sad that someone dies young. She had a great voice and a great potential, but she threw everything away for drugs and alcohol.

I am actually surprised that it didn't happen earlier, seeing the constant drug problems she had. Still, she did have talent. RIP.

I kinda liked her songs, but unfortunately i could bet money that this was going to happen eventually.

Gadaffi killing thousands to stay in power.
98+ killed by guy in Norway.
Millions of Africans dying of starvation.

A druggie dies in a flat in north London, shocking.
