An Undiscovered Island

You are on an airplane trip to ____________, a country you have always wanted to visit! Things go haywire when a bad storm takes your airplane off course. Before the plane crashes into the sea you and your fellow passengers parachute out onto a strip of land to safety with the crew. You have landed on a deserted island. All technology and communications ceased to function after the crash. But you have survived at least, and fortunately the island you are on happens to be inhabitable with a fresh water source, wildlife and fruit trees.

Time goes by, but no rescue team has found you. The world seems to have no clue as to where your flight disappeared to. With no escape in the near future sight you castaways will all have to manage yourselves the best way you can. Survivors come together to make a new community. What kind of a government would you like to see set up?

Absolute monarchy.

I'm appointing myself king of the island. My first decree is for the castaways to build me a crown. Then we can find materials and build a boat.

I think as a starting government it will always end up being a monarchy. When you have a bunch of unorganized people the first thing they're going to look for is someone they can rely on as a leader. The problem is going to be: who finds himself being the most "convincing" in that regard. Thruth be told: even though I'm very good at improvising and what not I end up not being the most "convincing" in regards to leadership power, meaning I would probably not be able to seize power. And even if, I would not really know what to do from thereon out.

You would assume democracy to work the best as its strengths show themselves in small groups more so than in larger ones as it gives everyone a stronger voice. However in terms of survival its just easier to not take responsibility and instead give it to someone else, basically accepting them having total control ( usually due to show of leadership).

Probably some sort of communism at first, because many of us will be completely out of our element, and we'll all need to share the resources we're able to find. As time goes on, government will hopefully have enough resources to help those in need, and people can start taking care of themselves/their families first and foremost. Government takes a small portion of your resources for emergencies, in case someone falls ill and can't provide for themselves. Socialism, as it were.

Hopefully eventually we'll be found, cuz i aint wanna stay there forever
