and they were ROOMMATES.

Yes, first a uni friend and then a friend from a volunteer work place. The first one either went out partying with me or played games or watched anime on his room, giving me free reign over the rest of the big apartment pretty often. The other guy was always out doing sports (giving me a lot of precious lone time at home!) or parked in the sofa watching various shows I didn't enjoy xD I think both situations worked pretty well. The second one loved cleaning too lmao, I particularly liked that!

We're still friends today, and I meet them both (from different friend circles) at the very least once or twice a year :)

Had a roommate for 9 months back in the day. He was a great friend and I miss him dearly. :(

Had 3 roommates when living in the university dorms. Roommate A often bring her friends and boyfriend in and I often have to move to like the lounge or somewhere more quiet for studying/homework. I sometimes hang out with my roommate and her friends for dinner, but I was often quiet and I didn't feel like I fit in.

Roommate B and I stayed together for a few months, but then she requested her own room after becoming member of the student board to our dorm. She has good work/study ethic and we got along fine. We shared each other's Facebook and I see her post stuff relating to her getting her Theology degree and other church stuff.

Roommate C was as outgoing as Roommate C and she also had a boyfriend. She sometimes went away for her job, so I was able to study and do homework in my room. She was nice also.

Yes and it was horrible. Me and my girlfriend had 2 sets of roommates, both were also pairs, back when we lived in the uni dorms. Both pairs were the "I don't need to study, university is for parties only" type of people so during the day they stayed at the dorms, usually blasting their annoying music all over the building, doing nothing else. They didn't care about cleaning the cell we were living in or even their own dishes. They also had no idea what is theirs and what is ours, so they often used our stuff. They were gone for most of the night, but when they returned they made sure people on the other side of the country knew about it.

So after a bunch of complaints we decided to leave the dorms. I don't want to have a roommate ever again.

Yep several!

Freshman year of college I had a roommate who slept a lot and ate all my Poptarts. Normally, that'd bother me a lot, but given she rarely ever ate I didn't mind. She's super nice and we're still friends today even though we don't live together anymore.

Sophomore year I had a roommate that threatened to stab me so she was wack. If y'all really want the full story on her I can give it but tldr she had to be escorted out by police halfway through the year.

Junior year fall semester I had three roommates who were all the bomb, and I'm still living with two of them now in fall of my senior year.

Junior year spring semester I lived with one roommate and a host family. She and I got along okay but we did have our fights towards the end of the semester.

And this semester I'm back to three and we all get along great!

I've had a flatmate for a couple years during PhD days. He is a good friend from high school so we knew each other well and got along just fine. Gamed and watched stuff together and all.
