This is now your fourth reply to me specifically. Don't start separating them now, because it's true. This is indeed your fourth comment directed at me specifically. You want to nitpick and cherry pick how many comments you made to me using some special IKEA set of rules that I don't have the directions to.

You linked me to a Google search of the entire world pop. Which means absolutely jack shit. Why? Because the actions of few can sway many. Just to point out there are about 7 billion people on the planet? An argument I never made?

Millions of Americans, meaning people who live in the US and reside within its borders, believe in this "cops are killers" bullshit that you just bought into. That they believe those that criticize any religion, any faith are savages. Except Christianity. Sure attack them all you want. Regardless of the fact that most of 2016s terrorist attacks drew their beliefs from the Muslamic faith.

A religion that prevents the teaching and learning of women. Where Stoning a woman who is brutally raped, wholly against her will, is acceptable punishment for the woman. Where without a man escorting her about is a punishable offence, where a woman cannot sing, a religion that teaches boys that it is okay to rape, where women are for reproduction and keeping 10 year old boys around 'for pleasure' to sodomize is acceptable, and attacking the rapist/pedophile will cost you your entire career. Women are trapped behind their burkas, unable to show their face, lest they be beaten. Where women can't talk back, defend themselves, or seek out aid. So just sit there and ignore that stuff. Ignore that the rich and famous add fuel to the fire by standing by the Muslim faith in its entirety, without ever actually reading or understanding that it promotes the slaying of infidels, meaning everyone not of their faith. That millions of Americans believe people are racist for challenging this horrid belief system is an uncomfortable thought.

I''m not saying that all Muslims are terrorists but you have to look at the facts and admit that islam has been committed by those who have drawn from the Islam faith and that's many things wrong like the fact that stonings still happen. But unfortunately for all the people affected by these crimes Islam is protected in a safe little bubble because apparently they can do no wrong and the "Evil Middle Aged Straight White Christian Man" is the source of all the problems in the world. There is a fine line between criticising parts of Islam which do not have a place in today's world (or ever) + the misuse of the religion for blatant evil, and using those criticisms of Islam to pass unbridled judgement on brown people as a whole, which tends to be the case when such condemnation is left unchecked.

I don't believe that is what's happening here. There have been clear cut cases where those that actively condemn the Islamic faith itself, for preaching hate and being a dangerous system designed to subjugate all other non-believers and murder them simply because they don'the believe, are shouted down and called intolerant and racist.

No one here believes in culling an entire race of people, except, apparently, for the newest movements that openly condemn white men and women specifically because they are white. But ai digress.

Unfortunately, the vast majority that live and reside in the middle east believe in Islam. The faith is so intolerant that even in the same faith there are major disagreements that have caused the people of the middle east to war amongst themselves for minute differences.

One difference that I can recall being on the debate whether or not to pray to Allah by placing your forehead directly on the ground or by placing one's forhead on a clay tablet while praying. To the same god. This is an ugly truth. They have killed eachother over this small and insignificant difference. That's even before we break out topics of the Shiites and the Sunni.

I'm not going to apologize this time. I openly condemn the Islamic faith as a whole. Just as I have decried Christianity in the past, I will decry the Islamic faith.

I have seen people shift topics on how Christians have persecuted others in the past. We're talking about the crusades, which happened a thousand years ago.

Well what about the Jewish faith? Hannakuh, if you didn't know, celebrates the entire genocide of a people. It's about lamp oil and what not, but from what I gathered a warrior slew an entire populace and severed their foreskinsand placed them at the feet (?) of god.

What about Buddhism? Buddha didn't become Buddha until roughly his late 30's to early 40's. Laying with women and what not. Even denouncing his father and his families wishes, which in many eastern cultures is an insane notion (not as bloody as many other religions, mind you. I have a point I am getting to your honor)

Don't forget Hinduism, where Shiva has so many forms it's almost as if it's schizophrenic.

All religions are flawed, however, once again we come down to this: which major world religions are currently practicing their book/belief system/dharma in total fashion? Are Christians going about drowning witches these days? Are they searching for the devil by way of thumb hanging? Not really, not so much.

The Islamic faith is, as a whole, totally unacceptable as it is now. Were they to 'christinize' themselves by not beheading a woman who dares show her face or 'let' herself be raped then maybe I'd ease up on them.

But I won't, because Christians aren't planting IEDs in the ground to blow off my friend's legs. They aren't waltzing into stadiums, magazine offices, marathons and gay bars and shooting people. Islam is. They are a threat. They are the bad guy. Think of this. Let's take everyone's favorite badguy, good 'ol Adolf (not good, sarcastic. also one of the only ways I know of hammering sense nails into people's skulls).

Adolf Hitler was the figurehead for one of the most heinous organizations to ever walk the earth (EA is up there, but not quite yet.) Despite what Himmler, Goering, Rudolph, Goebbels, and his entire cabinet believed, they are not superior to anyone (maybe the Oakland Raiders... maybe.)

Everyone rational can agree that Nazis are bad and the Allies were good. The Nazis believed that if you didn't go with them, you were against them. If you were an undesirable, being Jewish, black, gay, or against the party you were shipped off to a magical place where the nothing tree grows and the showers take care to put you at rest.

They took the gold from teeth, whipped, beat, murdered, skinned, segregated, tortured, maimed, burned, slaved, stole the Ark of the Covenant (okay, the last one may or may not be true, but you get the idea). The Nazis, who believed that their belief system was justified, was truth and just. The Nazis, who systematically destroyed an entire race of people. The Nazis, my Poké friend, we're charged with war crimes. Hunted to the edges of the earth, no matter how old or how long it took. The world would not rest until every last guard, warden, officer, cabinet member, torturer and other were brought to justice.

Now. Let's look at the similarities and the differences. The Nazis allowed women to go about their business. The Islamic faith does not. The Nazis supported genocide. The Islamic faith does as well. The Nazis tortured. Islam does as well. The difference between the two is that what the Nazis did was wrong, and they knew it. The Islamic belief system knows itself to be right and true, and no other beliefs can stand under penalty of death, as this is the will of Allah. They carry out this faith BELIEVING that what they do is right! How can you even begin to defend that?

There is very little to differentiate a belief system that promotes the killing of everyone that doesn't believe (and ACTIVELY commits heinous acts of terrorism and war) and the Nazi party. There is nothing that Islam has to offer that will promote a progressive technological Era, ever.

No one is saying we kill all the Muslims or 'brown' people. Even calling them 'brown', to me, shows a promotion of looking at and judging other's skin color. Calling terrorists 'brown' is almost unfair to all the other 'brown' races. Let's call them for what they are and not what they look like. It damages the rest of every Muslim by calling them 'brown' (and I'm sure more than a few Mexicans would take issue with lumping their color in with terrorists).

We are all entitled to our own opinions, but we are not entitled to our own facts. The fact is that, as a whole, the Islamic faith is still in huge practice and in full effect in more than a few countries around the globe (mainly in one concentrated area)

There is no 'misuse' of Islam. Islam is being carried out, truthfully, by radical terrorists. They follow their book to the letter by slaying the infidels (any and all non-believers, the gays, women that show their face, etc.), and millions of Muslims residing in the middle east do as well by killing women, preventing them from learning, slicing off their clitoris, keeping them locked up, treating them like property, and sexually abusing them. I have never really stood by any religion, but I would dare say that the vast majority of Christians do not believe that women are there to serve men, or believe in circumcision or killing pagans or anyone for that matter.

I've stated before and I will do so again. The Islamic faith and Sharia law, truthfully and willfully condone the serial abuse of children both male and female. A belief system that enables acts of pedophilia with girls and the sodomy of little boys. This real life belief system is continually acted upon. There are even some American Muslims that believe they should be able to act upon Sharia in the states themselves! Why is it so hard to believe? It's there in black and white and printed upon the pages themselves! This isn't a religion that deserves special protection or treatment because some Americans believe in it. No. You're wrong.

The US has tried to help these people (Believers in the Islamic faith), time and time again, but they have abused our aid numerous times. We've helped them in the 70's, the 80's, and the 90's. We've helped the Shiites and the Sunni. Helped them throw off Russian oppression (I think we should have kept the Russians in play, just to see Ivan Drago punch out Osama) by giving them the training, the tools, the weapons and ability to fight back and what do they do? They use our aid and turn it against us. They spit upon us and raise corpses of our soldiers high. They burn our flags and dance on our Graves.

Even Russia, an enemy we've had for DECADES, seems to have flipped. They see the writing on the wall. They just can't believe we're still trying to help these people (Islamic faith). They have constantly lashed out at anyone that has ever tried to help them. The UN tried to help. The Red Cross tried, even Russia herself has tried to stop these people from killing eachother with weapons that are against the Geneva Convention and code of ethics! The very Nature of Islam prevents us from ever being their friends. Even calling for a verification process is scoffed at by our leaders. The CIC, the SJWS, Hillary, and anyone else who lashes out at those who want everyone to be safe.

We can't even check these people out without being roared at by the apologists. We can't check to make sure these people are okay with gay people? With women working? With other skin tones? That is what was proposed and that is what was scoffed at. What is so mind boggling to me is that the people screaming at us for wanting to check these people out are the very same people that Islam would place first on the chopping block!

I don't condemn the Muslim people, because half (the woman half) of them wouldn't even have a choice in the matter anyway. I condemn the faith. It is a monstrous tool that exists solely to cause pain to those subjected to it.

The badguy come in all shapes and colors. I don't throw around color like what is happening now. I want the badguy. That is who I want. The people that argue skin color are the ones who cause the issues, I feel. The badguy is the badguy. He doesn't have a name, a color, or a specific shape. The badguy doesn't care who you are or what you do because at the end of the day the only color the badguy really cares about is the either the color of your money, or the red of your blood.

Make no mistake. Islam ACTIVELY PROMOTES, the raping of children, boys, girls, women and everyone in between. It is unapologetic and monstrous. The vast majority of terrorist acts within the past 30 years have been claimed by groups that follow sects and systems Islam has set forth. We are too soft if we define soft as not acknowledging our reality and not facing the harshness, pain, and suffering around us. Not acknowledging others and their pain is softness because we do not have to endure the the consequences of our actions.

For instance, participating in capitalism is almost inescapable. We really do not have much choice even if we are cognizant of its impact on our able to create meaningful living for ourselves AND/OR how capitalism is a large pyramid scheme of sort in that we sustain our comfy living at the expense of billions of other people and their bodies. Likewise we are able to throw people in prison, treat them like rabid dogs, think of minorities as non-human, and not have to face the grave consequences. This softness is a product, in part of capitalism, but more broadly, paternalism. That is, bureaucracies and political elites make the choices that impact the lives of others, including ourselves. We often ignore the implications of the suffering that is cause, or fail to acknowledge certain statuses such as white privilege, male privilege, American privilege, and the counterparts who are harmed materially.

Basically, we are soft because we do not have to face our own oppression or the oppression of others to the same degree with material wellbeing.

We are not soft in so far as we are "compassionate", instead we often "coddle" people in a manner that never allows them to have free exercise of choice. For instance, we invest so much social WELFARE into white citizens and have done so historically through huge welfare stimuli including the New Deal and Great Society acts. Furthermore, our military investments have led to greater economic power domestically since WW2, as such in the US we have not even had to think about why we have material comfort and the price that is paid, nor do we think about how consumerism controls our consciousness, life choices, values, and identity. We do not know ourselves because we fail to acknowledge objective truths of our social arrangements.

True compassion is born out of the "hard" truth. Truth is not soft, it is painful and actually requires us to not simply be emotivistic/subjectivistic (in other words, think based upon our own short-sighted accounted of the world from our perspective) and rather we need to interrogate our perspective and understand that we do not actually exist unless we are conscious of our choices and either acknowledge our failing and continue to support oppression OR try to resist that system of oppression.

We need to be volumes tougher in this sense as individuals if we want to be free thinkers and actually exist on our own terms rather than being captive and automized participants.

Then again, people often just write me off as well as other critical scholars such as Karl Marx, Foucault, and Habermas pretty easily without much consideration. The truth is often too painful to actually take on as thus we have a sexist/gendered, racialized, heteronormative, religious (anti-secular), and anti-intellectual society. As someone who participates in a variety of resistance movements...it can be very painful coming to terms with our own exercise of oppression over ourselves and especially others.

Sidenote: When I list religious hegemony I refer to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam equally. Christianity is associated with Western hegemony, and thus could in many ways be considered a more prevalent force of coercion. Though, certainly religious perspectives on all fronts distort communication, and thus reason.

No, I don't think we're becoming 'too soft'. I think we're just finally listening to people who before would've been completely ignored. People have always been offended by these things but before, no one cared.

I mean, when you found out santa didnt exist for the first time, did you think 'Santa used to exist before now, now he's gone' or did you realise 'he never existed at all, i just didn't know that'? Just because you didn't listen before doesn't mean it never happened before.

I don't think it's a generational thing THAT much, I think it's people just speaking out.
I see a lot of young Gen X'ers, millennials and Gen Z'ers speaking out about stuff like that.
Yes, they're coddled. Yes, they're being babies. No, the world doesn't hold any punches back.
You'll find a lot of the hugbox attitude on forums, specifically forum moderators. Not saying that the one's here do it or not, I wouldn't know I just came back. However I do think it's a small issue because people shouldn't be getting soft, they should stand strong. Free speech is a thing in the USA, like it or not. I don't like the "safe space" idea. I value free speech a lot. HOWEVER you should be respectful and mindful of others when you're talking. Some of us are frickin adults and we should not be going LALALALALALA every time someone says something we don't necessarily agree with or are familiar with. Take everyone's views into account even if you don't want to or plan on agreeing with them.

The basic idea is to signify that a college campus or what have you won't tolerate hate speech or harassment and that people from typically marginalised communities won't have to worry about discrimination. That does not infringe on free speech.
