Auto save, yes or no?

Modern Pokémon games have an autosave feature, letting you not need to worry about saving as often yourself if you're forgetful.

Do you use auto save - or does it imemdiately get turned off?

I keep auto save on, but I still save manually because it's habitually ingrained into me. It also gives me a sense of security that auto save doesn't.

Off. I don't mind auto saves in games where they're stored in a separate slot, but in Pokémon they overwrite your manual save. I prefer having control on when and if I want to save.

I agree. I def prefer it off to control when to save.

I have it off in case I wasted too many pokeballs. I still use that strat to this day.

Turns it off. Typically saves before important parts or before experimenting with something. Would hate for the autosave to trigger after messing up on some battle or burning resources on a silly Tera Raid strategy. Sacrifices some peace of mind on crashes deleting lots of progress, but oh well. Saves often enough.

I turn autosave off; I've never had major issues forgetting to save and I wouldn't want a failed legendary capture or silly decision to be accidentally overwritten because of it.

i like autosave idea would dislike losing progress 'cause i can forget tho would still like to save myself can't trust autosave 100%

I like manual saving idea, because I can go back into the point from where the things proceeded, although I mostly save on my own before important events, but habit of pressing the keybinding is something which is hard to avoid !!

First thing I do in a new game on Switch Pokemon games is turn auto save off =P

I'm conflicted between both - auto is such a lifesaver when you have system issues or the game freezes up, but it sucks when it saves in times that it isn't needed/wanted. When I'm shiny hunting, I will typically turn it off to avoid any chances of saving over an encounter. Outside of that, I typically keep it on.

Nope, that thing gets turned off as soon as I start my game. I'm known for obsessively saving my games all too frequently, so losing progress is rarely an issue.
