PC nude mod joke. We're finally here, folks.

Yeah, glad we finally have a date, which is neat. Still debating whether I'll watch the trailer, tho.

Speaking of announcements, Nintendo's E3 plans...I, like...you know, last year wasn't great. Neither was 2012's. Or 2010. But at least at those they showed games. I'm really hoping they're joking about this Treehouse-only business, because I don't think there's ever been in instance where I've had to question their intelligence so much. Like, did something happen? Did somebody hit their head? Because this is actually fucking stupid. There are so many more actually productive ways that they could spend an E3, and...

...*sigh* This whole over capitalizing on a single property to maximize sales, apart from not working, really isn't smart. For innumerable reasons. I just...whatever. If nothing else, I'm interested to see how things go for them.

Not always- these spin-offs being solid is a pretty recent trend. The Hokuto no Ken games were ass, One Piece Warriors wasn't particularly good in its beginnings, Gundam tended to fluctuate in quality. And, more personally, I'm still not completely sold on HW from what I've seen- it kinda seems like exactly what I expect it to be...but I'll wait before judging. Nowadays, though, seems there's a bigger push for quality and a focus on setting the titles apart. DQ doesn't feel like Arslan doesn't feel like Gundam doesn't feel like Dynasty, and that's pretty great. Koei's been killing it, lately.
This is true...I think this might be why a lot of fans of franchises get so pissed off about spinoff titles - they never used to be this good. Going back to Dynasty Warriors again, just look at the original Dynasty Warriors Gundam next to the third one...that's one hell of a jump in quality. Spinoffs aren't just half-arsed idea dumps anymore, they're properly fleshed-out titles in their own right, and they're great fun. I still think the FF Tactics games are, on balance, better than the mothership titles.

Honestly, I really enjoyed Hyrule Warriors on the New 3DS; it has a unique charm to it that the Wii U version lacked, even though they're pretty much the same game. It probably IS exactly what you expect, but then you gotta ask if that's a bad thing.

I want to pick up Arslan...somewhen. I need to pick up SW4 Empires too. Really getting into these games, they're good for quick play sessions and frustration venting.

Also, in relation to the topic title, I feel I have to post this:
[PokeCommunity.com] Back to the Grind(stone)

...and there is so much EU salt in that it's unbelievable.

Indeed...makes me glad that I'm not an Atlus fan, haha. Although that said, I'm a bit unhappy Etrian Odyssey 5 probably won't get a proper release here. Beyond that...eh, nothing of value was lost in my opinion, and it's a moot point for Sony consoles.

It looks like there won't be a Nintendo Direct this year ;( They'll just be doing a treehouse stream of the new (delayed) Zelda game

It doesn't look good so far for Nintendo. Perhaps there may be a Direct before the launch of the NX but after that, there isn't much left to reveal.

Wait just now? I thought this has always been a thing? ;)

Then again, we've been drooling with Towel DLCs since a few pages ago have we? ;)

Anyway, been spying on that Nintendo post for a while now.. a Zelda Livestream over something more important? Holy ass. the fuq is happening?

Nintendo having nothing to show at E3 other than Zelda? Also, what's with that Grey Logo? What happened to the smexy smutty Red Nintendo Logo?

Changing topic for a while, speaking of available overseas.....someday, Monster Hunter Online is available in China for now. For those who knows Chinese and live near to China. You are to play it, but signing up would be hard.

I had a hard time to sign up, due to the strict rules they applied for it. You need an ID card fo signing up which is impossible for outsiders to create an account. But with some help from internet source, I able to fake one.

The ping is quite a terrible, but as I say if you live near China you can play it with smooth ping.

Lemme interrupt your funny and kinda serious Nintendo worries with something:

If Mortal Kombat gave us Freddy, Jason, and Leatherface as some horror cinema dudes to play as, would it be cool to have Sadako of The Ring, and Kayako of The Grudge to be part of the MK Roster? Think about it. Japanese Horror, IN MAH MORTAL KOMBAT. And then they form into a Tag team to take on Both Jason and Leatherface in Mortal Kombat DOUBLE XL!?

(inb4 there's going to be a movie of Sadako vs Kayako (The Ring vs The Grudge) that's coming out in June of this year)

So Steam had its still on going Super sale of Star Wars related games, then SUDDENLY A SUPER SALE OF DEVOLVER DIGITAL (with games such as Broforce, Shadow Warrior, Serious Sam) ALL AT THE SAME TIME? GABEN PLZ, My Steam Wallet isn't ready yet D: (Reminds myself to go to the video game store to buy some Steam Wallet cards. I don't want to overcharge my credit card)

So... what's everyone's big summer gaming plan for this year? Summer's fast approaching or its already there for the rest of the world, and obviously we all have our gaming plans.

Me and my friends will be visiting our Cybercafe for some hot smutty and obviously euphoric Overwatch action since the F2P beta is only around for some time. (Till may 9 and already missed one day of it)

I have a Humble Bundle key for Shantae: Risky's Revenge if anyone wants it.

I pre ordered Doom last night. Couldn't stop myself after they added Wolfenstein: The Old Blood as an incentive.

Arkham Collection boxart leaked, with a price of $40, and a release date of June 10th.

We'll see.

I'm tempted to pick up Doom next week, but as someone who would never play the multiplayer I'm not sure it's worth it. The majority of FPS these days half-arse their single-player campaign and pump everything into the online mode. Which isn't a bad thing...unless you're someone like me who generally avoids PvP.

...I also have too much else to be playing really, and the following week I'm spending a lot of money on two special editions of Fire Emblem >.>

I have to ask as I'm genuinely curious: why no PvP 4 you?

Because it's boring? I don't really get any pleasure out of beating or being beaten by random people I don't know or care about. I don't mind PvP with people I know where we can voice chat at the same time and set random rules and conditions for the hell of it and just make it up as we go, but random matchups...there's no real fun to be had in it for me.

...aaaand on PS4 you need PS+, which I don't have.

But fighting random people helps you get to know more people to eventually voice chat with. XP

That's not how I generally like to meet new people, haha. Besides, FPS PvP players tend to be a bit...obnoxious. Loud. Aggressive. I could go on.

I wouldn't know, I don't play many FPSes these days. But I love Dark Souls PvP, especially invasions. There was always something so satisfying about voluntary duels and even more satisfying about succeeding at an invasion; especially in Dark Souls 1. I miss seeing "You Were Indicted." XD

Not to mention PvP results in a lot of creative fanmade Dark Souls videos:

I always felt Dark Souls was more of a single player experience, so being randomly invaded by people in the first game used to irk me quite a bit...it was like my parents coming into my room and demanding my attention in the middle of an unpausable scene or something.

Considering I actually struggled a bit with the first Dark Souls in places too, being murdered halfway through was infuriating. Which usually happened, because PvP builds are totally different from PvE builds. It doesn't matter how good you are, a PvE build against someone else will probably get you killed. I played offline exclusively after a while. xD

This was back when PvE in Dark Souls was crap and unpredictable, too. Before that first patch that made it easier to summon friends. By the time the patch came out I'd practically finished the game and lost interest =P
