Let's look at Kiyo's post where he voted you:
Wiick jumped on the Ulli bandwagon, but I chalk this up to another case of what I prescribed Rainbow above. When Ulli was pointing out the role descriptions, this post:
What exactly did your investigation reveal? Sounds like we need to do some more research.
Feels like support for Ulli while trying to keep the guise of a know-nothing innocent. The sentence "sounds like we need to do some more research" feels so
character-y, I feel like a true-blue innocent would just post the first sentence.
Kiyo isn't saying you're scum just for adding a sentence. He's saying he thinks you're trying to sound like you're inno, or give the
impression that you're inno. He thinks your concern about Ullion looks fake, kind of like "look at me, clearly inno, asking to do further research about Ullion!" A townier thing to do might have been: get Kiyo to elaborate more (his reason
was somewhat vague at first even though he did end up giving a clearer explanation in his next post), explain what your thought process was at the time you made that post (obviously you know Kiyo is wrong about your post, if you explain what was going through your mind at the time, Kiyo might be able to see your position better - even if you think it should be obvious to everyone what you were thinking, you have to remember no one is a mind reader so they don't know what you might have been thinking unless you actually say it), you could also ask Kiyo questions about his push on you or ask him about his other scum reads and what makes you more likely scum than the others (in this case, something like why you're more likely scum than Ullion, since Kiyo seemed to have more evidence pointing to Ullion than evidence pointing to you).
You also have to remember that you may know you're inno, but from Kiyo's perspective you're not 100% inno. You have to consider things from his perspective too. When you voted for Kiyo here, it still looked like a "you voted me, you must be scum" vote because of the misinterpretation/misrep of Kiyo's point (even though you said it wasn't OMGUS). You have to consider Kiyo could still be town who is wrong about you. If you think he's scum, you should still ask questions and make him explain things, get other players to weigh in on things too (you might get him to slip up, or at least show the other players that he is making a weak case against you)
Eh hopefully this makes sense, I'm not the best at explaining things and this ended up being a little wordier than I intended. (Sorry if it's not actually helpful tho)
