Battle of the Fire/Fighters!!

Since Gen3 and with the exception of X/Y, there has been a trend to make the Fire Starter evolve into a Fire/Fighting type. Although it might be considered lazy on GFs part, it is what it is, and we now have 3 different evolutionay lines with this once unique typing.​

Out of Blaziken, Infernape and Emboar - who is you favorite and why?
Is it the OG Blaziken, his ape-like cousin Infernape, or the latest addition Emboar?​

Infernape.

Blaziken is uber and ubers suck.

Emboar is ok, but the fact that it's the third fire/fighter in a row is kinda annoying, alongside the fact that it's pretty slow and not that frail.

Blaziken hands down. I think Blaziken is one of the Pokemon I've used the most over the years from replaying r/s/e so much so we have a lot of memories YA KNOW?

I really hate primates so Infernape never really interested me, but it's not bad. By the time Emboar came along I was over the fire/fighting combo so that's lead to me really disliking it. Plus I always felt like it was the worst of the three with that combo and I may or may not of thought tepig was def going the ground/fire on all fours boar route BUT NOPE

I would say Blaziken, haha. It's got a humanoid body, which is perfect for a fighting-type Pokémon like this. Its hair is long, which is my favorite part, and it's pretty interesting how its chest hair form the letter "X." Blaziken could be extremely useful when it comes to battling, and doesn't require much skills or knowledge at all. Plus, of all these three Pokémon, Blaziken is the only one so far that has mega-form. :] My second favorite's Infernape.

The Infernape line. They're monkeys... on fire! XD but seriously, they look great and have a very versatile moveset. My Guy was super powerful and took an immense number of hits from his weaknesses

I don't care about movesets and stats; designs are what influence my appeal to certain pokemon.

Hmm... Infernape and Blazekin are almost too close to call. Emboar, you are not even close to being a contender :/

Honestly, when I rank starters, these two are always adjacent, but they often change positions for some arbitrary reason since they are so close.

Ignoring the fact it has a mega evolution, which I am indifferent about, I'd give the edge to Blazekin. Two main reasons.

1) More creative. Infernape is a bit more conventional. The white mane, flared pants, and eye brow structure seems a bit more interesting.
2) Color Palette. Blazekin is more vibrant in shades of red and yellow. Starters being true to the color of their typing is major for me. The brownish red doesn't completely sell me.

I'm going with Infernape here, because my Chinese zodiac sign happens to be the monkey (I was born in '92, making me a "water" monkey) and I love how it has a good movepool and it's often been my go-to starter whenever I play a Sinnoh game. He always does wonders for my team!

Blaziken's cool too, but the monkey wins here.

If Emboar and Infernape had switched places then my vote would've went to Emboar, but having a third straight Fire/Fighting type left a sour taste in my mouth, and I didn't much care for it from the get-go. And since I don't really care for the Infernape family, by vote goes to Blaziken by default- though I have always liked its design.

I like both Blaziken and Infernape almost equally. Emboar, on the other hand, doesn't really cut it for me.

I sort of love Infernape's design. Kind of aztec thingy going on. That and the fact that it's an agile ape gives is plus points from me. But I also love Blaziken and Combusken. Blaziken is just really cool, okay. Especially with its Mega form. I'm never completely sure of which one of Blaziken and Infernape I want to put in top place, but this time I'll go with the 4th gen starter.

Emboar is great too, it's just a bit too bulky for my taste. Plus, it's the THIRD fire/fighter so it wasn't really as creative as the other ones felt.

My ranking:

1. Infernape
2. Blaziken
3. Emboar

I only ranked them by their designs but Blaziken (especially Mega Blaziken) is probably the most useful in battle. Mega Blaziken made me like Blaziken more but Infernape still comes first. It's also the only Fire/Fighting starter which I actually picked in the games. Even though I have 3 5th gen games, I never picked Tepig as my starter because I don't like Emboar's design at all...

I'm definitely going with Blaziken for this one. I love it's evolution line in general and I think it looks the best. It's bad-ss looking but it also has a pinch of cute in there which is perfect for me! <3

I honestly liked Blaziken before I knew it was OP.

I am choosing the Monkey for this one because it is strong and has a cool design.

Blaziken-mainly because you can teach it a flying type move NATURALLY to cover all your bases-everything is either normal or supereffective.

I like Blaziken out of the three because I like birds more then pigs or monkeys. On top of that Blaziken is the only one I've had the chance to use. I haven't used the other two.

Blaziken is 100% cooler than Infernape. I don't like Infernape.

Emboar is cool, but Blaziken is where it's at. Its mega is also a huge boon to it as it also looks extremely cool.

U love all three, but Emboar is the only one of those three to be my go-to guy for their respective regions. (I prefer Swampert to Blaziken and Torterra to Infernape)
