I still want a job in American Eagle. Why won't they give it to me? ;~; My, er, well, not really friend, but mutual friend works there, and I'm about to ask her to help me out. Although then again, maybe I should wait a while. The job I have right now isn't TERRIBLE, though I'd much rather be talking to customers than teaching little kids stuff.

Does working at American Eagle involve (meaningful) customer service? What I've heard from friends is that you just fold clothes and stock. I don't know personally, just voicing my doubts that it might not be what you're thinking of right now. In terms of interacting with people, your teaching job might better as it is.

Oh, it's not like I want to be talking to people all the time. I'm totally cool with folding clothes. I'd much rather casually have to talk to people then keep talking during my teaching job. My voice is usually really strained at the end of the day. :c

Work at McDonalds. Then we can be burger buddies! :D

Happy New Years everyone!

The fries are probably the only thing going for them. That and Chicken Juniors. Have you tried their triple-thick milkshake? Feels like plastic.

I need to retry McD's Apple Pies. I don't remember them being that great, but my girlfriend keeps insisting they're amazing. Going to have to fact check her on that asap.

I don't know what apple pie she's eating from there, but amazing isn't the word that I would use to describe them.

Well, I don't recall if amazing was the word she used, but she definitely had a high opinion of them. Which is weird, cause she doesn't eat anything else from there cept the occasional fries. D: I love apple pie in general, though. Great. Now I'm craving.

Apple pie is excellent if homemade. Correction, any pie is excellent if homemade.

The best thing at McDs right now are the Holiday Pies. Just sayin'.

Also, yeah I'll work at McDonalds until I graduate and can get a better paying job. xD

The job market is being such a prick nowadays, it sucks. Good luck, Zach. :C I just got ridiculously lucky with my current job. I got hired on the spot soley because I went to a particular high school.

Wait, where are you working at? :o
American Eagle??

Also, I wouldn't say fast food is as bad as it sounds. It's decent for a first job at least. I will probably never work it again though after I leave.

Oh, no, that's the job I wanted. I work as a tutor at some tutorial. Extremely fast paced. But it pays.

Working at fast food places is fine, in my opinion. It's definitely better than having no job at all. As for McD's apple pies, I've never tried them. Not sure if I will either, buuut... who knows. :p Also, happy new year, you guys!

McDonald's is absolute ****. Every bit of it. Including the fries. If you want decent fries, go to Wendy's… or better yet try Culver's. Their meat patties are actual beef, not that white liquid they pour into molds in the factories and is 15% meat (let alone beef). Their fries are sea salted, and they're famous for their custard and concrete mixers.

Our local Culver's on Mesa Ridge Parkway is the #1 hotspot for teenage hangouts, too. :)

I've never even heard of Culvers. D: I don't mind McD's fries, honestly. Back when I used to eat meat, I'd tolerate their burgers, but ugh, they were terrible compared to some of the burgers I've had at burger joints in the heart of the city. Although I guess when you pay $20 for burger, you should sorta expect something amazing.
