That's just Deceptio being Deceptio. For him, specifically, a long post like that isn't suspicious behaviour. He'll take any opportunity for it, lbh.

I do wonder why arachnidsGrip is so against Jupiter though.

Honestly if you people are going to take raw length as a suspicious element (especially when everything I said was logical and defended me as an innocent) then I'm the least of your worries. If it helps you sleep better during this night phase then feel free to run background info on me for affirmation. I only ever make long posts, short posts just seem so effortless and lazy for me personally, especially when I have something to talk about.

Keep an eye on me all you want, I approve of it completely because I have nothing to hide other than the way I am. Something similar happened in the last mafia game I was in, I was killed early and ended up being completely innocent. To be honest I am a little over defensive because of these reasons, I really like the concept of mafia but never get to have fun due to people often killing me because of people saying "You wrote more, you're obviously a killer." Not trying to sound rude but that logic is silly and if you tell me that it works and has actually rooted out Mafia members consistently, then I simply won't be able to find it in myself to believe you.

Note that I do appreciate those among you whom are being realistic about this and not pulling at any old loose thread. Aiden, whom is being logical while considering solutions realistically and Mayo whom is referring to my past to defend me.

I'd say we focus on actual leads for right now. Perhaps further inquiring as to why exactly Gunner has it out for Jupiter in particular might be a good place to start.

Further backing up Deceptio's point here; if long posts were an indication of guilt, then how on earth did I survive so far in F&L? No, saying that long posts are a reason for guilt is bad. The content and attitude of said post is what should be looked at.
 
I'm happy to know that you, my friends, can see sense. I'm not expecting you of course to banish all suspicion from me. As of course that would be foolish as I must begrudgingly admit that there is no direct proof of my innocence as is the case for most.

But I am glad that you will not suspect me on length alone. I will not forget and I will do my best to live up to this defense of my character.

Edit:

Here's an idea, in regards to the bomb. I say we give it to someone who hasn't been very active in the thread for one reason or another. It has the potential to kick people into activity and force them to post in order to throw the bomb off of themselves... and it might also raise some interesting questions about people potentially waiting in the shadows for their time to strike.

i.e. The feeder / The mafia?

So we have a further 11~ hours until the tentacle goes, and then around 6 hours after the day phase will end.

Guess there's no point voting until someone explodes anyway?

Nothing against you. I just want to see who you end up throwing it to. I was considering throwing it to someone that hasn't posted much but none them have been online for a few hours. What you do is up to you.

We don't have any solid leads... and I won't murder an innocent without any proof.

That's why... unless we gain a significant amount of proof to show that someone else is in fact guilty I'll be forcing myself to do this.

It's true that if nobody becomes apparent that I'll be stuck with a ticking time bomb in my hands, but please I ask you to consider the following.

At what point were we informed that this bomb was actually going to kill someone in its explosion? This is Blarzigord we're dealing with. We have no idea what kind of crazy and zany things he could pull. I think this is a facade, I don't think this tentacle is going to kill anyone at all. It might do something equally as strange or crazy, but I'm almost confident that this thing won't kill me.

I understand how big a risk this is. But throwing this thing around like it's a hot potato is going to get us nowhere fast. If we find someone worth getting with this thing whom we are not already lynching? Then I will wait until the best possible moment and pass it on. But until then and following the deadline should nobody become apparent?

The tentacle stays with me.

Or to ensure that his target has as little time as possible to react and pass it on to someone else innocent. Either way it's a ballsy maneuver.
 
However you also have to realize that if I were to pass it on to the masses at the last second everyone would see it, I would look very VERY suspicious.

Maybe I don't always get things right. But I'm not so stupid as to completely ruin my credibility over a tentacle.

Which is one of the main reasons I don't think this is worth fussing over. *Shakes the tentacle around.* This... thing, if you ask me is a tool given to use by Blarzigord to turn us against each other and to force us into making assumptions that aren't there.

But if I hold onto it until we can all agree on someone worth holding it... or if I hold it until the deadline itself if it comes to that... then we might be at the very least able to use it to our advantage as a majority.

And if not... and assuming it DOES kill somebody... well then with me gone without any outrageous accusations towards the innocent... perhaps at the very least casualties during and after this things existence will be minimal.

Now then my friends, I must sleep. I will leave discussions of lynching and tentacles up to you while I'm gone. If the morning comes and you have found someone worth giving the tentacle to whom isn't being lynched anyway? Very well, I will tactically plant the object when it is most apt. If not? Then I will go to school, the timer will end while I am away and whatever faith has in store for me will greet me upon my return.

My reasoning is just as I said: to see what Deceptio would do. He's said a lot of things which all impressed me and what he's currently doing is simply impressing me more. I didn't even think of doing such a thing (though I did consider the fact that it might not be something that'll kill anyone after I passed it on. Either way.) Since he's better at this than I am I was certain he would have made a wiser choice, regardless.

And, as I said, if I wanted to potentially kill someone I would have passed it on to someone less active.

I say we just wait it out, let tentacles wiggle and let the timer go off. Hopefully Deceptio lives, if not, oh well :(​
