BLARZIGORD: THE UPRISING​
Welcome, mortals, to the first Blarzigord-themed game of mafia on the PokéCommunity. During this game, Lord Blarzigord (Foxrally) and myself (gimmepie) will be serving as your game masters.

For those of you who are new to mafia games, the way it works is relatively simple. You will be split into two teams, the uninformed majority generally known as the Innocents and the informed minority usually called the Mafia.

Mafia games are split into two phases. During the night phase this thread is considered "locked" and no posting will be allowed here. Posting during the night phase will result in you dying an early death. Also during the night phase, the mafia are able to private message each other to discuss strategy and choose a person to kill. During the day phase, the person whom the mafia have killed will be announced and the thread will be made "open" again. Whilst the thread is open the Innocents use it to debate whom to execute as punishment for the mafia killing. However it isn't as easy as it sounds, the mafia are also allowed to post in this thread during that time in an attempt to sway votes.

Some players will also be given special roles with what is known as a "night action". Essentially a night action is a power that can help or hinder your team such as investigating an alignment or saving or killing a player. Mafia night actions should be PMed to Lord Blarzigord during the night phase whilst Innocent night actions should be PMed to me during the night pass. In this particular incarnation of mafia, your faction wins when it is the last remaining.

BACKGROUND​
The PokeCommunity. This place was once a peaceful land, united by a mutual love of the Pokemon franchise and the worship of the patron deity of pokemon, [tier=founder]Rukario[/tier]. However, peace never lasts and a new religion has emerged in the nation of PokeCommunity.

The followers of Blarzigord are a group of religious extremists who worship a dark and mysterious entity, Blarzigord the Supreme Overlord. At first, the Blarzigordians were merely a nuisance to the people of PokeCommunity and were mostly ignored; however as tensions between the Blarzigordians and the rest of the Pokecommunity grew, violence became inevitable.

The Blarzigordian's staged a coup d'etat in the RPC district and although they were thwarted, the damage had been done and it was the last straw for the President of PokeCommunity, his tolerance of the Blarzigordian cult was over.

Soon after the RPC coup, the President decreed that association or membership with the Blarzigordians is punishable by death and, aided by specially trained agents of the ROA (Religious Opression Agency), an all out search for Blarzigordians began.

ROLES​
Spoiler: Lord Blarzigord (praise him)
This game is not just your standard mafia game, there are a few small differences that might affect the game. First and foremost, is the interference of Blarzigord himself (oddly enough played by Lord Blarzigord). Blarzigord, despite being worshipped by the Blarzigordian extremists, is a neutral entity and he enjoys watching the puny humans fight over his existence. To add to his amusement he may use his mysterious powers to mess with you. We won't tell you exactly what Blarzigord will do and when, but it could be anything from changing how your roles work to reviving dead players.

In addition to this, Blarzigord will also release an instruction or a riddle at the beginning of every day phase – this will relate specifically to the role of the Feeder but the rest of you might find it useful to look into.


Spoiler: the Masses
The innocents in this game are known as the Masses. The Masses are for the most part just your everyday citizens of the Pokecommunity with no power outside of their vote – however the agents of the ROA are also among the masses. They are…

  • The Special Agent – The top-ranking agent in the ROA this person is responsible for identifying traitors to the masses. If you have this role, you can inspect one person's alignment every night phase.
  • The Interceptor – A highly specialised agent of the ROA whose night action allows them to target one player and prevent them from using any night action they may possess once every night phase.
  • Agent Mark – More than an inside reference, this individual is a top-notch medic who can select one person each night phase and prevent them from being killed that night. Just be careful not to accidentally protect a Blarzigordian…
  • The Rogue – A rogue agent that thinks the ROA and The Masses work too slowly, once during the game he can kill one player during the night. He's acting out of hatred and not information though, so there's a chance that he might accidentally kill an innocent.
  • The Analyst – Not the best field agent but an intellectual of the ROA. This individual can analyse one person during each night phase and determine whether or not they possess a night action. Unfortunately, they don't have the ability to determine a person's alignment or discover what any night action they possess actually is.

In addition to these roles, there are two secret roles among the Masses. Only they and the President himself know what their actions are.


Spoiler: the Blarzigordians
The mafia in this game are known as the Blarzigordians. They are an extremist religious cult that worships Blarzigord and wish to take control of the PokeCommunity. Among the Blarzigordians there are the…

  • Blarzident – The leader of the Blarzigordian religion and a regular mastermind. This person is responsible for PMing Lord Blarzigord with the mafia's chosen victim each night phase and appears as one of the Masses when investigated.
  • The High Priest – The Blarzidents right hand man/woman. This person can target one person and negate any night action they might have every night phase.
  • The Converter – This person is charged with converting people to Blarzgordian cause. During the night phase they can turn one person into a member of the Blarzigordians. However, the Converter cannot use their action on two consecutive night phases. If someone with a role is converted, they will be given a new role.
  • The Acolytes – These members of the Blarzigordians have no power outside of the perk of PM discussion that all Blarzigordians have and their vote in the day phase.
  • In addition to these roles, there is also one secret role within the Blarzigordian ranks. Not even the Blarzident knows what this person can do.


Spoiler: Unaligned
As well as the main alignments of the Masses and the Blarzigordians, there are also two roles that exist outside of these alignments.

  • The Feeder – Once a regular follower of Blarzigord, this person has become too extreme even for the Blarzigordians. They believe that they must kill one person as a sacrifice every night according to the riddles or instructions of Lord Blarzigord and will take their own life if they fail to accurately fulfil Blarzigord's wishes or are prevented from killing anyone. The Feeder wins when they are the last player left alive and should PM their victims to [supporter]Lord Blarzigord[/supporter].
  • The Blasphemer – The Blasphemer doesn't agree with either the Blarzigordians or the Masses and is fighting for religious freedom. Once per night they can PM me the identity of one person they would like to convert to their cause. The twist is that once they have converted someone, they will create a second mafia faction. As the leader of the new mafia, the Blasphemer DOES NOT gain the ability to always appear innocent. The Blasphemer and any of their subordinates should send their night action PMs to me.
THE HOLY BLARGLE RULES​

  • All pokecommunity rules apply
  • One final vote per day phase
  • Please use EXECUTE [name] and bold it to confirm your vote
  • Missing two executions will mean that you are a traitor, and be executed immediately
  • Unless you are a Blarzigordian or part of the Blasphemer mafia, you are not supposed to PM anyone but the GM
  • All Blarzigord Uprising discussion should be kept here
  • If you are DEAD, you are DEAD. Don't haunt the thread with your posts
  • However, if someone dies, or gets lynched, they get to give ONE deadpost, that doesn't give any information about the game
  • For executions, if there would be a tie, the last player killed will break the tie.
  • Getting caught posting at the night phase will automatically kill you
  • Night actions should be sent to the appropriate GM by PM
  • Abstaining during the Day Phase is not allowed
  • Praise Blarzigord.

to be honest i'm already scared the mafia is gonna be OP, haha. just like in the last game, a nightkill AND a recruit is hard to fight

You are lucky that I am aware that this game of yours and my sons is all in good fun, but watch where you step lest you upset both the TRUE head office and the Lord Blarzigord himself.

Let the games begin false "president".
