What is Camp Cadaver?
"It?s like Town of Salem, but better!" - Tormental, probably
Camp Cadaver is an online game based on Mafia. The actual game utilises real-time chat, whispers and wills, much like Town of Salem (except there are way more roles and the devs actually update the game :D) and Throne of Lies. I?ll be recreating some of this (not the real-time chat, obviously) in this forum version of the game.
The base mechanics of this game are the same as in standard Mafia, with the Heroes as the Town, the Villains as the Mafia, and three types of Third Party roles: the Psychos, the Outcasts, and the Bystanders. If you don?t know the rules of Mafia, check out Gunner?s Guide, because I?m sure that?s a better explanation than whatever I can come up with. Unlike regular Mafia, the game will continue until a) all Villains and Psychos are dead (Heroes win), b) all Heroes and Psychos are dead (Villains win, or c) a Psycho is the last man standing. Unless it's impossible for a faction to lose and impossible for other factions (including Outcasts and Bystanders) to win, then I will end the game early.
also we should totally play this sometime instead of EM/TOS :D
please

Any of the above roles can appear as a Random role, as well as the following Villain Killing roles:
Spoiler:
Final Girl: Choose a target each night. If that target tries to attack you that night, they will die instead of you. This bypasses night immunity.
Loner: 3 times during the game, you may go on alert at night. While you are alerting, anyone who visits you will die. This bypasses night immunity. This is a unique role - there can only be one Loner in the game.
Principal: Choose a target during the day. They will be detained at night. The detainee will not be able to use their night action, but will be protected from other night actions. Using me as a proxy (so that the detainee does not learn the Principal?s identity), the Principal and their detainee may talk to each other at night. (I will be using Discord DMs for this, so make sure to check them!) 3 times during the game, the Principal may choose to expel (kill) their detainee. The Principal can kill roles that would normally be night immune this way. However, if the Principal kills a Hero this way, they will no longer be able to use this ability. This is a unique role - there can only be one Principal in the game.
Rebel: 3 times during the game, during the night, you may choose to kill another player. If you shoot a Hero, you lose your remaining shots. You cannot shoot on the first night.

Hero Investigation
Spoiler:
Chaperone: Choose a target each night. You will learn who visited that target during the night.
Counselor: Choose a target each night. You will learn whether the target is evil (Villain or Psycho.) Other roles will appear non-suspicious. The only exceptions are the Tycoon, which is a Villain but appears non-suspicious, and the Class Clown, which is not a Villain or a Psycho but appears suspicious.
Insomniac: 4 times during the game, you may choose to wander at night. When wandering, you will see the anonymous night actions of other roles. You will not be able to see a night action if the player is visiting themselves or the dead.
Nerd: Choose a target each night. You will receive a list of roles that your target could be, one of which is correct. The list of possible Nerd results can be found here: https://campcadaver.wikia.com/wiki/Nerd
Priest: Choose a target each night. You will learn if your target has killed anyone during the game.
Witness: You may choose to watch yourself at night, learning who visits you. You can do this 3 times successfully.

Hero Protection
Spoiler:
Babysitter: You may choose a target each night. You will give that target night immunity until you choose another target. If you are killed at night, your current target remains night immune for the rest of the game. If you are lynched, your target?s night immunity ends. A revealed Class President cannot be given night immunity and will lose any night immunity they previously had. This is a unique role - there can only be one Babysitter in a game.
Jock: Choose a target each night. If your target is attacked, you and the attacker will die. This bypasses night immunity. You may protect yourself once - if you are attacked when you protect yourself, neither you nor the attacker die.
Lifeguard: Choose a target each night. If they would die, you will rescue them. You cannot protect a revealed Class President from death.
Park Ranger: During the night, you may choose to heal anyone who visits you, saving them from death. Once per game, during the night, you may also choose to shoot another player. If you kill a player with this ability, you may no longer heal. Note: the heal is an activated ability like the reverse version of the Loner?s alert, except it has unlimited uses. You must still PM/DM me to use it!

Hero Decisive
Spoiler:
Bus Driver: You may choose two players at night to swap all actions that target them. If someone targets Player A with an ability and you swap them with player B, player B will be the one affected by the ability, and vice versa for actions targeting player B.
Class President: Once per game, during the day, you may reveal your role. After you do this, your votes will count as 3, you can no longer be saved by the Lifeguard/Babysitter and you can no longer send or receive whispers. This is a unique role - there can only be one Class President in a game.
Vessel: During the night, you may select a dead Hero and a living player. You will use the dead Hero?s action on that living player. You cannot select a dead player who has been cleaned, even if they are a Hero. You cannot be roleblocked. This is a unique role - there can only be one Vessel in a game.
Virgin: Once per game, during the night, you may choose to resurrect a dead Hero. If the Virgin dies within the first three days without using this ability, they may choose to resurrect themselves instead. This is a unique role - there can only be one Virgin in a game.

Hero Support
Spoiler:
Cheerleader: Choose a target each night. You will roleblock that target.
Delivery Boy: You may choose a target each night. If your target chooses to use their night action, its effects will be applied back to them instead of the target they chose. You may do this successfully 5 times.
Goth: You share a chat with all the dead players. If you are killed at any point, you may speak with a living player during the next night phase after your death.
Hall Monitor: During the night, you may choose a target to give a pass. That target cannot be voted for sacrifice the next day. You may also revoke your last target?s pass during the day. If you do so, your target can be voted for again and they cannot vote to sacrifice anyone.
Journalist: During the day, you may target another player to interview at night. Using me as a proxy (so that the interviewee does not know the Journalist?s identity), the Journalist and the interviewee may talk to each other at night. (again, using Discord DMs for this!) Alternatively, you may choose to target a random player during the day, interviewing them anonymously at night.
Orphan: Choose a target each night. When a player you have previously targeted dies during the night, they may speak to the living as a ghost the following day. If you die, your targets will no longer be able to come back as ghosts for a day. However, you will come back as a ghost during the next day after your death.
Vegan: Choose a target each night. They will learn your identity and that you are the Vegan, clearing your name to them.
Victim: If you are killed during the night, you may select a living player during a night phase to roleblock them. You may do this 3 times. Note: Getting lynched does not grant you the ability to roleblock from beyond the grave, only getting night killed!

Tycoon
Spoiler:
Tycoon: Choose a target to kill each night. If there is a Butler (a role only accessible through the Random slot on this role list) on the Villain team, they will carry out the kill for you. You are immune to being killed at night, and you appear non-suspicious to the Counselor. If the Tycoon dies, another Villain will become a Butler so that the Villains can continue killing.
Villain Deception
Spoiler:
Lawyer: Choose a target at night to tamper with their diary. If that target is killed that night, the fake diary you wrote for them will be displayed to the town instead of their real diary. You will see that player?s real diary.
Maid: Choose a player at night to clean them. If they die that night, their role and diary will not be revealed. You may clean up to 3 players.
Tattle Tale: Choose a player at night. That player will appear guilty to a Counselor and as a Tattle Tale to a Nerd. (This role will only appear in setups that contain Counselors and/or Nerds.)

Villain Support
Spoiler:
Chauffeur: You may choose another Villain at night to drive them away from danger. If their visit would have caused them to die (e.g. visiting a Loner or attacking a player who was protected by a Jock) or get caught (e.g. by a Chaperone or Witness), the Chauffeur cancels that Villain?s action. You cannot stop a Villain from being attacked directly or investigated directly.

(If you do not select, a random person who voted for you will be chosen.) The kill bypasses night immunity. You appear guilty to the Counselor and the Priest.

New Kid: Choose a player at night to steal their role. The player you select becomes a Slacker. You cannot win as a New Kid - you must become another role and fulfil its win condition in order to win.
Salesman: Choose a player at night. If that player has an ability with limited uses, you will sell them another use of that ability. You must make 3 successful sales in order to win.
Slacker: 4 times per game, during the night, you may choose to protect yourself from death. You must be alive at the end of the game in order to win.
Snitch: 3 times per game, during the night, you may see the exact role of another player. You must be alive at the end of the game in order to win.
Stoner: Choose a player each night. Players you successfully target will not be able to successfully use their night abilities on you for the rest of the game. You must be alive at the end of the game in order to win.
Random
Any of the above roles can appear as a Random role, as well as the following Villain Killing roles:
Spoiler:
Bouncer: 3 times per game, during the night, you can choose to kill anyone who attempts to kill the Tycoon. This is a unique role - there can only be one Bouncer in a game.
Butler: You will carry out the Tycoon?s kill on their behalf. If there is no Tycoon, you choose who to kill. This is a unique role - there can only be one Butler in a game.
Crackpot: Once per game, during the day, you may shoot another player. Everyone will know that that player has been shot. They will die the following night, unless they are rescued. This bypasses night immunity. If they are rescued, you can choose someone else to shoot.

Diaries
Your diary is the Camp Cadaver equivalent of your will. Upon your death, the contents of your diary will be shown in the game thread.
You can write in your diary at any time by messaging me directly. You can do this by sending me a PM titled something like ?Diary Update? and writing only what you want to write in your diary in the message, or saying that you want to update your diary as part of the message and then wrapping what you want to write in your diary in quotation marks. Keep in mind that each new version of your diary will overwrite the last.
Your diary can contain any information you want.

General Rules
All general Pokecommunity and Underground rules apply.
Do not directly copy or screenshot your role PM. That will get you killed, for reals!
During the day, signal for who you are voting to lynch using [Sacrifice] player.
Abstaining is allowed.
If you don?t vote for 2 days in a row and you?re missing night actions, you will be replaced. This game has a player limit of 15, so anyone wanting to sign up after the limit has been reached will be backup players if they so wish.
Only discuss the details of this game in this game thread or in Discord servers dedicated to this game.
No deathposting in this thread! However, there will be a Discord server for the dead players where they can discuss the game, regardless of whether there is a Goth in game or not - just be aware that information shared there can still affect the game if someone is revived by the Virgin or Spoiler.
Day phases will last for 48 hours and night phases will last for 24 hours, unless I say otherwise. The game will start with a 24 hour Dusk phase, during which there is no voting, players can chat in the thread if they want, and roles with abilities that are used during the day can use their abilities.
Night actions and diary updates should be sent to me via PM or Discord DM (NightKrow#5963). NA results will always be sent in PMs.
Oh and no posting at night. Obviously.
Have fun, and happy camping!
Let me know if I left anything in about whispers, I was going to use whispers but then I decided it was too much effort :P
