I prefer cats as they aren't so hard to care for. All you need to do is to give them food and toys. Dogs need more responsibility, and you have to take them for walks. Plus they can bite. ;_;

Dogs any day. You get so much more fun from a dog and they show that they love you a lot more than cats. Plus the exercise from walking them keeps you healthier.

I prefer cats then to dogs. Reason why is cat are easier to take care of and you don't have to walk them everyday and they are cool and cute.

I don't mind dogs, there are some that I hate but some aren't too bad. Cats would be my favourites though.

Cats. So easily cats. The main argument against them is they don't really bring a lot to the table, but dogs are EXHAUSTING, so much higher maintenance. You have to feed them, walk them, pick up their crap while you're walking them, play with them, they're like children. And I hate children. Cats are elegant and mellow, they know they're in charge but they don't have to be all in your face about it :P

Dogs for sure. They are loyal, responsible and more lovable they're also fluffier than cats. :3. Cats are totally opposite. And also, dogs are relatively smarter than cats, and they don't sleep as much as cats (they sleep for 18 - 20 hours per day, right?)

For the most part, I just can't stand dogs. =/
I don't really like cats either, but dogs have troubled me more often than cats have. =P

I'm allergic to cats so that kind of makes the decision for me. I've never really spent much time with cats so I don't really know if I'd like them more than dogs. They make great Youtube stars though.

I honestly would love to have both :) i have been around dogs more than cats and used to have two dogs but both have since passed as of 2003 :( my house has never had cats but Ive had friends with cats and they got along nice with me

I prefer the dogs, why? The cats, for me, are boring. The dogs, are more animated, and the mayority aren't ugly. Well, the can be ugly, but they're so... so... I can't describe that.

As an owner of two kitties and a doggy, I've had good luck with both. But If I were to choose which, I would say cats. :3 Cats are like your best friends. They're so mysterious and kind. They will understand you unless your cat is an LOLcat and tries to do something behind your back. xD

Cats. After what happened in December of last year, I can't really work my way up to loving dogs as much as I used to. I still love them, and it honestly depends on whose dog/cat in particular, but just in general. Doesn't help that I have my own kitten that I adore.
