Well, he changed it nao that JD complained >_>

erwhat, the title is still about Necrum's b-day.

Oh wait xD
You said swablunest so I thought you meant the topic in the irc xD
That's what I get for not reading everything c.c

I meant a pure magikarp solo :3 because if nobody has ever done it I might try to be the first one!

I've seen attempts (first gyms), and I've heard of people who've done them, but I've never seen anyone complete it.

Gotta admit, that's a cool idea. Makes me want to try it, though I don't want to steal your thunder (or Splash, rather).

But like jd said, ghosts. If you've got HG/SS, you can teach Magikarp the move Bounce at the Battle Frontier. There used to be a pokewalker route with Bounce Magikarp, but distribution ended years ago :(((

I know what he could do; he could bring over a Lv. 5 Magikarp with Splash and Bounce from another cartridge. Or if he's doing a ROM just hack in an attack move, because you'd probably lose with just Splash o.O

Also, I've just finished work on the new and improved NPC Trainer Challenge! I hope you all enjoy!

Struggle hits Ghosts since Gen II, so you could theoretically play that way after Gen I, although Gen IV and on will need Bounce since the recoil is too big. Too bad it's not an egg move.

games that have ok recoil (1/2 damage done) on struggle are bold, games that have 1/4of your health are not
games with bounce are underlined, games without bounce are not
games where struggle hits ghosts are italics, games where it doesn't are not.

i once did a 6 peas (Meta)pods challenge on Gen II. It went well to the end (elite four), with only like 30-ish revives used or smth, casually just throwing attacks until them crits fall. I'm guessing it'd be just as possible with Karp, though one karp...maybe not

hoooly crap. dat hp and attack value... I just read that struggle in Gen I doesn't hit ghosts, either.

edit: oh, i just saw it written up there...apologies, my brain is not sober yet, just woke up >_<

How would you guys feel about a challenge based off the current best-selling MMORPG, World of Warcraft? I'm sure a good chunk of people on here play it. My thoughts are that you have six Pokemon, each of which fulfill the parameters of a certain race in World of Warcraft, and you pick a class for them, which affects their movesets, hold items, and stat alignment. Just a thought. The only foreseeable problem is the complexity of the game's race and class system; as of Mists of Pandaria I think there are 13 different races and classes? I don't know, let me now what you guys think. If it gets enough support I might consider doing this, although it doesn't seem as if a lot of you guys would be into this...

Also, have people tried this before? I'd like to know if it's had PC history, preferably success stories.

WoW is probably my most played game on my PC :P

But it would be so complicated to make each race compatible with the classes they're allowed to learn. Unless you got an idea for it?

But I for one would love to see that happen :)
