Changing real names to your user

People would be like oh you must be a Christian (they do this with my real name too) but little do they know I mean the Granblue Fantasy character.

I wouldn't mind being called Fafrir irl, I do like my real name more tho but I would not be desperate to change it just because it's dragony. Lots of people here do call me Faf or Faffy tho.
As for worst usernames, Crystal041 and TheDarkDoom comes to mind and if I had either of those I would get a name change immediately.
 
I already answer to Cherrim if people call me that irl, so it'd be an easy adjustment, I think.

But for my cringiest username? I think I'd die if someone called my lightning-chan even once, nevermind regularly. 😭
 
I think being called Aisaka in person would be strange, but most of my friends off this site just call me by my username there even though they already know my actual name. I've been considering asking if they'd call me by my name since I tend to call a few of them by theirs, but it'd be weird to ask for a "first name basis" thing with people I've known for years like that. I'd answer to Aisaka if you called me it in person, I'd probably just think you're weird if you already know my name. Introducing myself as Aisaka would be awkward as well.

As for something weird, a friend of mine once tried to corrupt an old username to "Eggplant" and call me that in person. That was a very weird day.

Idk that any of my past names have really been overly cringe, since I use alvmonster as a default a lot and I switched between O'aka XXIII and Sonata a couple of times. I'd be down for having O'aka as my legal name I guess, and it's probably the cringiest among them. Not really sure that it'd bother me that much, since O'aka can run together and come out easier than my given name.
 
sydian is a name so it works lmfao like it's just something i came up with in like 2008 and i mean it COULD be a name, though i've never met anyone with it for a name. i think it's cool tho even 10+ years later. 8)
 
Ngl I've had people call me spottedfire/star, and spoots in voice chats for years, so it's really not something I'm uncomfortable with? I will admit though, it would be strange if my family started to refer to me as such, but I can't imagine my life changing much from that alone :0!
 
Harmonie is not that weird. I bet "Harmony" is a less used real name. I know Melody is, so it makes sense.

Although, it's not actually translatable to "harmony" in English, by the definition I use it for (I don't think that there is any English equivalent for the term). Plus, I've had people think I'm German for using this username. Lol. So that make it kinda weird.
