I would actually be kind of upset if it turns out Ayumi isn't dead. Episode 7 was filled with emotional weight and had Yu going through a pretty rough path he had to come out of, ideally learning others are around to help him. It just seems like Ayumi coming back might make that seem very hollow and almost invalidate the entire experience for me. It also seems kind of cliche to have a character not actually be dead.

I'm planning to watch this later in the season, is it worth it? After Glassip I'm kinda scared of PA WORKS.

Charlotte isn't like Glasslip in any way though for the simple reason that there's a understandable story thus far.

I am quite confident on the theory that his sister ended up in the mad scientists' lab and could be subjected to experimentation. While it's possible that this may lead to a predicable outcome, we won't be sure whether she will come out well or suffer a similar fate to Tomori's brother...

Some parts of the episode were uncomfortable to watch (I don't stomach those things well) like the eye stabbing ugh. This is possibly the first time I've seen a character take drugs fully animated. Quite surprising to watch

At least if the sister was nabbed it wouldn't undermine all the suffering it put her brother through. It would only underline how terrible these people are.
It seems more like a straw he'd cling to--she might have been captured, we need to rescue her--that would be plucked out when she shows up for a final time via possession.

Huge credit to the writers here. It's not obvious how things will go.

I feel like that whole phase of him being a really pissed off emotionless psycho ended way too quickly, it was like a 5 minute thing. Kind of made me go "ughhh" about this anime, was very disappointed by how quickly they resolved it.

This is really the only thing that has made me go "woah" with this anime, everything else has been very predictable.

^That pretty much sums up my thoughts. Regardless of what happens in the end I'm honestly really enjoying this anime - even if it might have just crushed my soul a little bit.

I'm not sure if they'll do the experiment thing or leave her dead, but either way it will work very well if they do it right.

My only complaint with this anime is that it is too rushed, it needed to be drawn out into a longer series. Like 20-ish episodes.

I think a word which can sum this anime up is rushed, a lot of the episodes have been rushed, the character development has been rushed, the story has been rushed. Why not make the anime longer, which in terms makes the key points develop more smoothly instead of trying to rush out everything.

I did, I was expecting shenanigans of some sort to be coming up but the exact method of delivery was quite a surprise. I'm really curious to see what happens next. The annoying thing though, is that with this big plot wist I wish more than ever that they were drawing things out further.

The issue with this anime as a whole, IMO, is that it took too long to get to the fucking point. Pacing was all over the place with people even considering some of the initial episodes fillerish (they kinda were...). Now that it has gotten to business, it is holding people's interest much more easily. But now that it has gotten interesting, we don't have many episodes left. Like, dayumm. :/

I was really disappointed with the latest episode. It seemed so rushed and not very well planned out at all; and it seems like there's just going to be a massive info dump next time, which is not exciting at all =/ Like that one random guy turned out to be somewhat important? Just seemed incredibly... convenient.

I really liked the anime up until 2 episodes ago. Shame :(

The stuff that's revealed in the episode makes sense for the most part, actually. And connects many dots. But yeah, it doesn't change the fact that it did feel pretty damn off-paced. :/

For example, this is one really cool detail:

Remember the baseball guy? Our MC actually "plunders" his ability. I initially thought he "copies" powers but he actually "cuts/steals". Baseball dude doesn't have the ability after that. As a result, Tomori doesn't even bother asking that guy to join the school since he literally can't use the ability after that.

Then remember that one scene where the entire student council is about to head towards MC's house to meet his sis? And he doesn't want speedbro to be there? He's just about to take over speedbro but at the very last moment Tomori kicks him outta the window and says "its not necessary". She does this because she was aware of the fact that our MC's real powers aren't the "take over for 5 secs". She prevents him from plundering his powers. And she's probably been told about his real powers by the wetguy/shun-bro.

As far as I'm aware, anyone with power he's taken over hasn't been shown to use their power after that point so this shit's probably true. Then there's the detail at the end of the episode that a friend of mine missed somehow - the MC's brother is blind (made very apparent by how he uses wetman's help to walk and grabs his shirt). He goes blind after his massive time-leap, probably? And it all is tied into Sala that appeared in the very same episode since a) she's also blind JUST like our bro (and she says her eyes were taken after she committed a sin - something of note) and b) her very appearance is very conveniently placed in this episode. She even appeared in MC's flashback for a sec there (her first appearance).

It is true, too, that this episode turned over the entire character importance status quo in one fell swoop. A character who was relegated to just one kind of role in the previous episodes and was very one-dimensional suddenly has more importance than Yusa or Speedbro from the student council. Messed up prioritization right there, lol.

It really seems like it would've benefited from a longer episode run rather than the current 13 one it possesses. Maybe even on the shorter end of the second cour (like 22 episodes or something).

Anyway, I don't think Nao knows about Seiya II's true power. I may be mistaken about this part, though...

As for the plot, something like this was meant to happen. We had to be led somehow to the inevitable choice.
I'm pretty sure it ends up like this.
Seiya II's bro: I will reverse the world once again, Ayumi will be back but everything will be lost.
Seiya II: *wait, does that mean... I will lose everything I've build up with Tomori?*

Something like this, he will be faced with the choice between imouto he loves and girl he loves.

Q: With the plot so far, Tomori and Takajou seemed to have deceived Yuu in their actions. Does this mean that Yuu has secrets that even he does not know about?

A: Of course. What Takajou wanted to say in episode 5 was: This is because you have the ability to travel into XXX. Tomori and Takajou knew about Yuu's secret with Kumagami's ability. Therefore, only Yuu does not know about this

The translation is kinda iffy and not supposed to be 100% accurate but I think it holds ground to a degree. As for the resolution you mentioned...I personally find it very cliche. No offense intended but I wouldn't exactly like this series end on such a note. :p But I can see why you'd think it probably can happen. Personally hope not. :v

In fact, for a change, I'd want some despair-inducing ending. I mean, I'll be honest, I'm not terribly attached to any of the charlotte characters. The one I was fond of was MC's sis but she's apparently been relegated to nothing but a plot point, basically, so there goes my attachment to her as a kawaii character. It would be delicious if Kanye II tries to

save his sister by time-travelling (using bro's plundered ability) in a time where he can set all the wrongs in the world right but then at the very last moment he goes blind and loses all his powers due to over-usage or something. XD; Yeah, I'm a sadist XD; I mean, it is possible since both bro and Sala lost their powers after apparently "using" them (sinning in case of Sala and maybe overusing it in bro's case).

But on a serious note, this is what my impressions of the characters are this episode:

>>Speedbro level--. Yusarin level-- in terms of plot importance. Relegated to side-dishes compared to wetbro.

Loving this series so far, however I was not expecting the latest episode at all..

Yeah, I believe..Marina sings for her? I think it was the same with their Angel Beats character (Iwasawa), but I definitely prefer her singing in Japanese. xD; I love Sala as a character, though.
