I couldn't enjoy the chapter too much because I was reminded of that ridiculous death-by-cancer crap. Otherwise yeah, Lucy actually put up a decent fight, which actually makes me wonder considering that she's still a Holder-type Mage (and on that note, so is Gray, so y he so flex?) And in my translation, Brandish's magic was called "Compression Magic" so isn't that the same thing as Eileen's? Also I'd like to sit down and pray for Mashima's redemption to just let the bitch die for real. She's not even a main character so guy has no reason to let her live.

Yeah, I say let her die. SOMEONE needs to die, otherwise the story will be super predictable.

Alvarez is so broken, wtf! I think the only reason why Fairy Tail is winning is because of OP monsters like Natsu, Gray, and Gajeel. Also the Spriggans are WAY underestimating Fairy Tail and not going their hardest, so they're paying for it. Alvarez is just making dumb moves and Fairy Tail is outsmarting them. If this was a contest of pure power, Fairy Tail wouldn't have any chance of winning.

Well at least they keep their guards up and actually try, unlike the Spriggans. Look at freakin' Dimaria screwing around stripping peoples' clothes during the middle of a war. Since all of the Shields have that laid-back attitude, they aren't doing very well now.

Brandish is the only interesting Spriggan in terms of their personality and motives. Sure Eileen and August are interesting for their magic but we know next to nothing about them.

I'd be very disappointed if one slash has killed Brandish. However, considering Natsu needs her to reshrink the tumour I'm guessing she's not 100% dead at the very least.

Brandish is the only Spriggan that's been given any personality, and even that's only come from an ex-machina back story. I don't know why Mashima found her the most interesting but I'm getting tired of Natsu and Lucy refusing to fight her on grounds of friendship. It's still a war, she's still going to kill their friends, and it's the whole "one person > thousands of people" situation. And even without her some ultra machina will come and shrink his tumor anyway. Maybe Wendy will do it, y'know, with her new Instant Transmission power and all.

OMFG EVERYONE I JUST SAW THE SICKEST THEORY:

So someone was speculating that in the next couple chapters, Lucy would reveal her ultimate power: the Celestial Spirit King Star Dress. Remember that CSK has the ability to stop time, so maybe her Star Dress would let her fight Dimaria in her domain. On top of that, maybe she would get some of CSK's celestial powers, which might be able to match Dimaria's God Soul. If so, this would make Lucy a top 10 strongest character, especially if she found some way to summon CSK without sacrifice, like jeez. I think this theory is extremely logical, considering it's one of the only ways to combat Dimaria's ability.

I'd be so happy if this came true.

Juvia's return wasn't exactly a deus ex machina since everyone knows already that Wendy can heal people. It was kind of easy to predict, in that way.
Plus, Gray really shouldn't lose another person close to him. Poor guy's been through enough already.

Wendy can heal, even Porlyusica can heal, but somehow they're ALWAYS at the side of the currently dying member. Moreover, only one member ever dies at a time, and they're always able to be healed, which is dumb. With how severe Alvarez is, people should be getting literally blown into bits and put in similar situations where they're dead as fuck. End of story.

I agree with you and Arctic. Gray has been through WAY too much to have another person dear to him die. At the same time, it's pretty lame that everyone gets healed every time it looks like they're gonna die. There's not even much suspense anymore in this series because we all know people are gonna survive, it'd be a major surprise if someone actually died forever...maybe Mashima is conditioning us to think everyone is safe, but then he'll pull something at the end of the series.

Welcome to the Guild, Arctic! Great to have another member, considering no one has joined officially in a while. I really love Gray too, it hurts me to see him in so much pain all the time omfg :(

Okay now for my short talk on chapter 502:

I'm personally hyped right now, because I think END is coming in the next 2 chapters. I know this has been the assumption every week for a while now, but I think this actually might be it. Natsu's tumor could actually be his demonic soul spreading through his body, and maybe if Dimaria were to kill Lucy or even Natsu, the demon would awaken. Just a possibility, we'll see what happens. Also, I'm hyped about Mavis' magic. It seems like she tricked Eileen pretty damn hard with her illusions, which will NOT make her very happy lol. Final thing: I'm so done with people who only focus on NaLu and not the story, like go find a different anime jeez, you're turning this into a ship-fest when you should be focusing on the story mainly, because I have a feeling s*** is about to get DEEP. Might wanna pay attention.

I do believe Fairy Tail is about to go to hell, but remember how pissy the Shounen company gets with long-running manga. It might end up getting cut short like Bleach and we end it with so much shit.

My ideal Fairy Tail ending is like this: Natsu and Lucy talk one last time, have sex (Fairy Tail rated sex anyway) and then Natsu goes off to fight Zeref. Zeref gets killed and Natsu hits the ground dying. Then he sees a fairy and he smiles like "Whaddaya know, fairies do have tails." Skip ahead five years and we see Lucy walking with their son to a gravestone. He asks whose it is and Lucy says "Your dad's, a hero." And she turns around to leave but stops when she feels a hand on her shoulder. She turns around, asks "Natsu?" and sees his ghost for a second before he fades. Fin.

No offense, I just mean people in comment sections of videos where they're like "Where's NaLu?" every chapter as if they don't even read Fairy Tail or give the slightest s*** about the plot. But I will say, dayum that ending idea tho, that gave me slight feels, only because I can imagine it really well and the way I imagined it gave me chills.
