I'm sorry, but Light Platinum can't be used for ultimate, as it's complete hack and is not based on Sinnoh. You'll have to find another solution if you want do an ultimate :)

5. Playing a Pokemon hack is allowed, however complete hacks will only count as single challenges, whereas remakes/demakes/complete pokedex/difficulty hacks, like Liquid Crystal or Blaze Black, can count towards an ultimate challenge.

As long as the hack hits these standards, it's fine for use in an ultimate run. If it's a near exact copy of Sinnoh it's fine to use, if it is significantly different, it cannot be used.

Example of a complete hack would be: Pokemon Glazed, Pokemon Sovereign of the skies, Pokemon Cyan ect.

- KO'd a bunch of Magikarps
- Trained until Horizon evolved (Gotta have that double kick)

I don't know any sinnoh demakes for the gba, but after a little google searching I found a very promising hack in progress. I don't know how far along the hack is but you should definitely check it out if you're really unable to play a 4th gen game. I decided to work from kanto to kalos so I am doing fire red first. I am 2 badges in an lvl 35. It's a legit shiny Arbok and here are it's moves and abilities.
