I would love to learn German someday. Man, I bet it is a hard language to learn...like Japanese. x.x Not only you have to learn to speak it, you have to learn how to read and write it as well.
Does anyone want to learn a different language someday?
Wow, I never thought German is that easy. Don't have to worry about how the sentence goes and stuff. That is nice. Well I hope you will get back to it someday. I know I want to someday because my stepmom is German. And I am fascinated with her language. I got to learn some of it. XDI learnt German in the first five years of Comprehensive School, and I actually found it quite an easy language to study because of the sentence structure (: I can't remember a lot of it now, though. Except how to order a drink. "Ich mochte ein glass Coke, bitte." XD Oooh, and a skirt is called a "rock". I'd like to go back to it someday, though...it was really fun.
But the language I'm most interested in learning is Russian (: I've always loved modern Russian history (~1900 - present day) and I find their language absolutely fascinating to listen to. I have some textbooks and dictionaries lying around, but I've decided I'm going to hold off learning it properly until University is over. I wonder if the OU offer Russian courses...
Oh my...dang. Man I don't think I will do well learning Japanese. At least you learned to write and read in hiragana and katakana. ^^ I heard kanji is pretty hard. ^^; So yikes...I might get far as you when I do learn it. XDSorafune said:Japanese is a hard language to learn. x_x After taking two years and bombing one year, it's become almost an impossibility for me. I mean sure, hiragana and katakana is easy, but by the second year, you would have to learn kanji, which is a giant pain. x_x
Japanese and Spanish are on my "to learn" list. I might take a course in Japanese once I finish school - I'm pretty good with languages. I've been studying French at school for god-only-knows how long.
