My Macbook has just died on me. I went to turn it on and it get stuck on the loading screen, flashing a 'no entry' sign.

I have to try and get it fixed tomorrow. So pissed off.
 
I have booked it in for a check up tomorrow at the apple store since I have a 3 year cover on it. As long as I have it done before I go back, I will be happy.

The whole "sleeping in" thing is starting to become a habit for me. I woke up at 12 again. :|

If I were you, browse around Amazon or eBay or any other online shopping sites. Usually there will be something that you want and it'll just appear on your computer screen and say, "I WANT THAT."

Sounds like a permissions error. My first course of action would be to boot from the restore disc and use that for Disk Utility to run first aid on the internal HDD. (unless of course the symbol you see isa sad folder, in which case you may have either a bad HDD or bad SATA connector.)

Yeh, brought it in today and they think it is the HDD but they didn't have any.
So when I go back to Bristol I will get it replaced and if they don't have one, I am getting a new Mac because I need one because I only have 4 months of University left and I need to do work.

Thank GOD I Time Machined everything the other day! XDDD
 
Yah, Time Machine is the back up for a mac. Takes everything including films, documents, files, music, photos so on so on and puts them on an external HDD.

My God I know. I could have lost 3 years worth of University work! XD

You are right, Team Fail. Most people rely on Macs because of their quality. TBH, I was never really a fan of Mac myself.

Yah, I guess it could be worse. I only just got the second HDD at Christmas XDDDDD
So timing couldn't have been more perfect.

I know, I am disappointed in Apple, but I guess it happens.

I never use to be a fan of macs, but they grew on me and they were everything that I needed so I decided to get one.

Naaa, there is no point. It is a random Daily Chit Chat thread. If someone asks us to move on then fair enough.

And I never even thought of that. Haha, curse you WD! I have 2 of their External HDD's and they have been brilliant so far!
