It used to be big? :o

Man, things change on the Internet quickly.

Not the forum side of things, no. More the main page.

But you're right. Things do change awfully fast on the net. Which is why so many of the smaller forums just die off - they can't keep up with the volume and pace of content. There is so much to absorb that people consolidate by sticking to a few major websites to get their fix.

On that note, answer this:

You get home from a long day of school/work/unemployment. You sit down at the computer to relax a bit and check on things. What are the main websites you will open up?

Me? Gmail, Facebook, Pokecommunity, Overclockers Australia (Tech forum), TechPowerup (tech news), Lifehacker/Kotaku/Gizmodo.

I'll let the New Tab page tell it all.
Spoiler:

(Note: TwigForums do not exist in the real Internet)

I've always had a preference for smaller forums. Only because there's less people around and it's easier to meet everyone and make buds with people.

But then, if the forum doesn't take off eventually, it can get boring ;w;...

OH MAN 7000 POSTS

Haha! Being able to be with people that you like a lot if probably the best thing to have in a forum.

Am I the only Supporter here that uses IE frequently?

The problem with my small forum experience was it was mainly only one person that I knew. The rest of the place was populated by people that were her friends but I had no idea who they were. And one of them turned out to be a real jerk to me. And when a real jerk's running the forum, it's pretty much doomed do failure.

And I'm forced to use IE on computers that aren't mine constantly... I hardly ever get online with my own computer, which has Chrome installed on it, and I really miss that

Hehe. Speaking of portable installs, I think I might be able to make use of that, but for some reason I do prefer the simplicity of just having it on the computer if I'm allowed to do so.

That said, speaking of IE, I'm going to nuke my desktop... and install Windows 8 Release Preview to give IE10 RP a look-see.

Well, IE 10 is a lot better than 9 or anything else. It has spell check, which should have been added years ago, but it's also faster too.

I'm quite impressed by their way of getting rid of the vendor prefix hell.

So Opera just implemented -webkit- prefixes. The IE team decided, "Hey, everyone else is implementing the same spec, and it's really stable, so why not go unprefixed?"

One less line of vendor prefixes for everyone! xD

I think it also works better than the Consumer Preview version since now it no longer has inexplicable errors. (Wow, I love autocorrect. The kind of autocorrect in this one isn't the evil kind!)

Welcome to supporterville, Shiny Celebi! It's a great place, and it feels great to be a supporter. :D Enjoy yourself here, and well... have fun! ^_^

It really does, I feel like I helped in some way ^_^

Haha! I think I personally do feel that when I did pony up some actual cash to top up my tier. xD

That said, welcome to the big family of VIP-Forum-goers!

I didn't have access to this place until earlier this year.

I kinda feel bad for not donating. :( On the plus side I've helped in other ways so idk I think it makes up for that.

So you're the reason PC went down last night because of you! See... If you would've just dontaed Steve could afford a better server and we wouldn't have had that db error!

I never donated either, haha. People donated all the money for me - Team Fail and Shining Raichu. So wonderful of them etc. <3

For me um, Patchisou Yutohru originally donated for me in October 2008 (w/o asking) and a few days ago I got Shining Raichu (why yes, I asked) to donate T2 to my alt account so I could design profiles on it loool.

Nah, the server went down for different reasons. ;)

It's the thought that counts, right? XD

Clearly!
