I dunno, I personally love vB's plugin system. In the old days we had to modify code directly, and then we lost all of our modifications whenever they released a new version. :P I do most of the coding for our plugins around here, so if you're ever looking for help you can ask me via PM, haha.

And yeah we saw the vB 5 demo. All of us in the HQ are like "oh my god it's horrible laksjdlf;ajsdf"
>_> vB5 is like, horrible! I don't even...

I thought the same of vB4 when it came out, but this doesn't even look like a forums software! It's more like a media hub tingaofajob.

Well, I hope the vBullitin people would notice that and work on security stuff to block them. I may not really know that much about forum software and such but it's still being worked on, right? I saw the test page as well, it didnt seem that bad tbh, I mean to me it didnt look ugly or anything, but idk.

I didn't find vB4 all that ugly. :( /bad person?

I dont find vB4 ugly, but then again, maybe Im just not picky about forum appearances all that much. I do appreciate a forum that looks organized and has nice themes/skins to choose.I've never really minded the look of vB4.

Yeah I guess 'not picky' is a good way to describe my opinion of forums. I don't have lots of different forum experiences for the most part so I'm not picky when it comes to design as long as it works. XD

weee i finally got my card to work

anywho!

I generally hate every forum besides PC because I'm weird that way. Then, I take myself aside and say, "Dude, it's just...look at the good side!" and I do. I find out what parts make ECG a worthy separate forum from the Great vB Forum of All Time, and look at a MyBB forum and think of what makes it worthy as a separate forum. Like, every forum has a different (if not good) thing that makes it a good place to discuss different things from PC.

EGC was very tight-knit which was nice but if you're not one of the tight-knit group it's intimidating to post there, haha. I joined and stuck around for a bit but then quit. I throw myself too much into forums is the thing - I can't be on more than one forum because I throw my entire energy behind one and leave no passion left for anything else.

Same reason I can only play one video game at a time, read one book, etc. XD

Lol.

Personally, I've grown to like vB4. I'm on like 4 forums including EGC and PC. I still have the time to pay attention to all of them, I think. Then again, I might leave EGC soon :3

I'm going to sound like I'm advertising the forum but I'm not, that's just my bad wording, so bear with me here!

Gotta disagree with this. There are a lot of people who've, once they've joined EGC, they've actually fit right in, and that's actually one of(if not the primarily) goals of the forum. I mean, I think I know what you're coming from--it's a new forum after all, and joining any new forum would be intimidating at first--but it takes some getting used to, and after conversing with some of the forum's regulars and whatnot, it seems to really give that "home"-y feeling.

Just wanted to clear things up ^^; my two cents while I was there, I guess. xD

Eh, I actually think it's very easy to get settled into EGC's community. They like new members quite a lot and fitting into the group is definitely not hard at all! I've seen many new members get involved and become part of the group almost instantly. But I guess everyone has different experiences. XD;

I was never big with forums until 2011 or so. PC has been by far the most positive experience, so I definitely have a huge soft spot for this place.

What's EGC? O.o
It's a forum that I(and another friend of mine) started in mid December 2011, and it's been going on ever since. It's been pretty popular because of the aforementioned tight-knit in the community and whatnot.

And as far as PC is concerned, I've found myself phasing out of this place and then getting back into it again. I mean, it really depends on my IRL obligations, and I blame those as my primary reason as to why I've been in-and-out of PC, but finally my plate has been getting less full, so I guess that means I'll be posting a lot more, maybe. xD

Clarifying things further, EGC = Ever Grande City o/ Some awesome people started it and a lot of awesome people are members there. As someone who has had trouble fitting in recently, I've found it to be one of the nicest places ;w; I'm not so afraid of posting things anymore, and I've become a lot more confident in myself.

Of course, that could just be me, ahaha. But really, it's a very nice place and I recommend even just looking at it :3

I dunno. The Trivia box or whatever, when I went in there and tried to start a conversation like we have to do here in OT, they were all like "dude no gtfo".

Then again, that might just be an isolated incident, but that's what threw me off. I still occasionally check to see if I have any VMs from my lovely pair <3 but other than that I don't feel it.

This might sound like I'm bashing ECG but like lol that's just how every forum experience for me goes :P It's not them, it's just me. PC is the only place that I have any interest for, for some reason.

Well I see it like this: Each and every person has a different experience at different forums. I've been here on PC for 7 years, and I find myself coming back here, regardless of what happens. I could never have really "left" PC, even if I tried to, I just couldn't stay away from this place. I guess it's because of my friends as well as the amount of time that I spent here.

With that being said, I stay on multiple forums, and that's mostly because I like to enjoy what other forums have to offer, and the kind of atmosphere that they have, things of that nature~

Yeah it's all about the atmosphere. None of them are the 'wrong' atmosphere to have, it just meshes differently with different personalities. :3

Why must Zet make the greatest posts of all time? xD

But yeah, that's also what I look for in a forum, but I don't insult people, so. u_u I more or less look for how tight-knit forums are, and how easy it is to get integrated into the community, things like that~

On a forum I frequent more than PC, I could literally drop the f bomb a few dozen times. Just as long as I make my post on-topic and I won't get in trouble.

I drop by some larger forums than this on occasion, and the discourse there is considerably less civil than here on PC. Though that's kind of how an urban-life/skyscraper forum with at least 20 different languages used on it seems to operate, judging by my experiences on all the super-massive forums of that nature. Too many cultures clashing. Reading some threads on those forums is like reading a slightly tamer version of /b/ at times, especially in the international politics forums. PC is oh so very peaceful and friendly by comparison.
