As much as I enjoy the character models being more expressive than they did in XY, the fact that they're adding more now on a remake rather than a next-gen game kinda makes it feel off-putting to me, because all main Pokemon games within the same generation must share the exact same limitations of the engine they're using, so one game doesn't feel technically inferior to the other.

That is one thing I didn't like about Team Flare...First off Team Flare didn't have any real...what's the word..valid reason for wanting the legendaries. It seemed that Team Flare just wanted them because they wanted them. Team Flare doesn't seem like any threat to me, plus Lysandre is weak and has no real reason as to why he wants to change the world. Every Villianous Organization from the past has had clear motives, even Team Galactic. I think Team Magma and Aqua is one of my favorite villians because they are very clever and smart and think things through.

A fellow PC member would like to disagree with you regarding Team Magma and Team Aqua, because their schemes were completely childish and fail at geography. Plus, Team Flare not having a valid reason for wanting legendaries was during a period where fans were getting tired of the mascot legendaries being the main focus of the plot (and now those same people are complaining about Xerneas and Yveltal not being important enough). And Lysandre did have a real reason to why he wants to change the world; he wanted to end overpopulation and war, but at the cost of wiping out all Pokemon, which is one of the things he love about said world (that makes him more of a hero than a villain).

But Lyrsandre is wrong doing it the way he is. He wanted to destroy the Pokemon along with the "filth"

So planning to wipe out the human and Pokemon race because of overpopulation and too much war makes Lysandre a hero??? Is that what I'm getting at?

Speaking of expressions and character models, it looks like we're going to be getting a much bigger range of emotion in their expressions than we did in XY from the screenshots I've seen.

Also regarding the demo code, if the release for it is going to coincide with the Shonen Sunday/Corocoro leaks, will it be unlimited? I would die if they made it the same nightmare that they did with the Smash demo codes being sent earlier than scheduled to Platinum Club Nintendo members.

I sure hope it'll be. I don't want it to be like the Smash codes, or even the Mega stone serial codes.

@ Pinkie. Well HgSs were better than DP in several aspects such as faster saving and Gen V style 3D in some spots. Besides limiting oneself to make all games mediocre doesn't sound like a good strategy...
In addition the eventual next installment of the generations always seem to take the good from the remakes, at least in terms of internal processing, so its not like the 'original' region of that generation is left out of the improvements.

Well not always as it was the other way around in Gen IV with Platinum and Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

I wonder if our final battle with Wally will be like in RS or like in Emerald in terms of placement.

It's a shame that we couldn't fight Wally on more occasions throughout the storyline, perhaps that could be something to be added upon in the remakes. As for his team, there was absolutely no difference between RS and E in which the final battle would be +12 levels from his original battle in Victory Road. In ORAS, perhaps his Roselia will evolve into Roserade and Magneton into Magnezone.

Hey guys haven't played Pokemon games in a very long time (years), hoping someone can help me out. Iv pre-ordered Omega Ruby and would like to get the demo when it becomes available

1. Where and how can I download the demo from? Im seeing something about a code what does this mean?

2. I live in Europe is the demo available here?

Thanks for reading and hopefully someone can help :)

There was a difference in the placement?
According to Bulbapedia he challenges us near the entrance the first time in Emerald (similar to Bianca), while in Ruby and Sapphire he fights us at the end (like most rivals). For the rematches it's at the exit for all three games.

Hi, the demo was just announced very recently so we don't have too much information on it. The method to get codes hasn't been released yet, and I'm pretty sure it'll be available in Europe :)

Slateport beach looks nice. Meteor Falls looks wonderful. Looks like Archie is on top of the Seafloor Cave after releasing Kyogre, hence the dark clouds. And Maxie is about to erupt Mt. Chimney.

Great photos

I think those dark clouds are at Mt. Pyre. It had fog in the originals. Plus an elderly couple is there which are likely Phoebe's grandparents. He probably already stole the orb.

I don't recall the opposite sex trainer at Meteor Falls. Seems she/he are getting more attention, which is great seeing how they didn't even have the final evolution of their starter in our last match with them in the originals, not even in the third version.

Yeah, it definitely looks like the rival will be showing up and assisting you much more frequently. Hopefully we can battle them more and maybe even tag battle with them. 8)

Actually the way that you say Lysandre is more a hero then a villain works for Team Magma/Aqua as well, seeing as their motives were to use the Legendary pokemon who created land/sea to expand the respective terrain, Magma wanting to expand so the humans and land based pokemon would have more area to call home, while Aqua wanting to expand the sea to give the water based pokemon more living space.

Also if truly looked at, Team Flare's goal of a new world free of war/overpopulation can be seen as copying Team Galactic's quest for a new world of their own design. At least with Team Rocket and Teams Magma/Aqua had originality, with Team Rocket just being the most truest villainous team of the three, being kind of a mafia style gang rather then an organization out to change the world.

Truth be told though, aside from Rocket, all teams can fall under my theory of Perception and Actions, rather then being called "Good and Evil". I do not believe there is good or evil in existence, its merely the actions one takes and the perception they fall under. For example, to the Nazi's Hitler was perceived as a good leader, striving in his own way to create what he believed would have been a perfect world with no strife or any negative reactions to others. Yet his actions were seen by the rest of the world as wrong, however if he had done things differently, moving to his goal without killing, he'd likely have been supported by the world.

Overall, the teams lately have just been slack, I'd love to see a Pokemon game come out with a truly villainous team, one where once you get to the last big battle, if you get beaten by the boss then it results in a game over, with a nice cut-scene showing the result of the teams dark desire, taking over the world with an army of Pokemon destroying buildings and such. However, that'd likely be too dark for a Pokemon game.

Character Customization CONFIRMED! :) Look at the protagonists hair on the....4th picture...see how it's brown? Or is that just because of the haze?

Actually, I think the only truely Villianous team is Team Rocket..xD They collect rare and valuable pokemon from people for money or catch them for Giovanni..Pretty dark to me.
