Personally, I'd either want the main games to stick to being handheld only, or that there be versions for both the home consoles and handhelds (like SSB4). In terms of the former, I can see the main Pokemon games being moved to the home consoles in order for Nintendo to sell more of them, but I'd dislike it because home consoles are expensive and I can't afford them until many years later. Though, I also feel like if the main Pokemon games transitioned to home consoles, they'd stay on there and not return to the handhelds; thus, Nintendo may lose money on the handhelds. The latter seems more plausible: there could be many different features exclusive to the home console game and to its handheld counterpart (for example, alternate storylines or places to visit) that make it worth getting both. It'd also be good for those who only have a home console or handheld, as they wouldn't need to buy the other if they don't want to. As for having the Pokemon games on other consoles, I can see them being available on Sony's consoles, but not on Microsoft's. (Well, actually, I could see there being PC Pokemon games; there have been Pokemon games for computers in the past, so it's always possible.)
