    Do you count calories?
How many calories do you generally eat in a day?
How do you manage your caloric intake, if at all?
    Any tips you've discovered?

I do not count calories. I'm always trying to gain weight so I just eat as much as I can afford to. As to how many I eat in a day I wouldn't know since I don't pay attention to it. Tomorrow I'll count them all and update how many I ate.

I keep a mental count of my calorie intake daily. I don't get enough. If I'd found any viable ways to increase the amount I get (I've already traded-up low calorie food for higher calorie food as much as I can without eating things I dislike, and it's not as easy as just eating more for me) I wouldn't need to keep a running tally in my head. It's often exhausting and infuriating, to say the least.

I occasionally do, but mostly because I need to gain weight. So it's to make sure I'm getting enough, if not more than the recommended daily amount.

I usually forget to though :(

I want to count calories, but it's a very difficult thing to do. Or rather, it's very tedious. I applaud anyone who does it, as I can only imagine it's tough. Maybe one day when I apply myself accordingly I'll do it. But today alas.

I don't. I have no idea what I eat in a day, I should probably keep track somehow but eh.

I don't count calories. I walk about 15 miles every day and do a lot of lifting, which burns almost all of the ~1500 calories I consume in a day. I just don't eat much and I'm pretty active, so I don't have to worry about calories. :3

Okay so let's see what my usual calorie count is.
Hot Fudge Sundae Pop Tart - 190
    Campbell's Vegetable Beef Soup - 200
    2 servings Hamburger Helper - 220
    McDonald's Medium French Fries - 340
    2 McDonald's Cheeseburgers - 600
    McDonald's Frappe Caramel - 500
    Total - 2,050 Calories
Looks like 2000 calories I eat a day, and today was a pretty slow day of eating. I think I probably eat way more calories on a day where I eat my usual amount.

How do you find eating MCD all the time?

How do you find eating MCD all the time?
I have cut back on eating fast food a lot due to health issues and simply because I can't afford it since I'm not working right now. But when I did eat it a lot I was fine. I never felt any different eating it as opposed to other foods. It just was all the same. I was addicted to fast food like crazy though. I guess because when I was a kid my dad took me to them all the time, especially when my mom was in college. We would just get something outside for dinner all the time on the days she had class. I never gain weight from eating a lot of it either, but I bet it's harmed something in me by now like cholesterol.

Oh and those three McD items on that list aren't three trips. They are one meal in case that is what you thought.

I do, and use fddb (the german equivalent of myfitnesspal) for that.
I'm an exerciser and my depression always makes me prone to forgetting to eat enough, so it's great to have an overview so that I can always say "nah my dude, you're not going anywhere when ya don't eat enough". Seeing as I am not really tall, I tend to eat 1500 on non-workout days, and 1800 on days where I do workout.

Honestly yes. People say I'm at an okay weight and shouldn't be counting calories, but I have a tendency to overeat when something delicious is put in my face. I always worry about gaining weight because I love to spend money grocery shopping, buying snacks and ordering food.

I generally consume under 1500 calories a day, because any more than that and I'd be gaining weight.

A couple years ago I started using myfitnesspal to track my calories but became really obsessive to the point that I counted every raisin that passed through my lips.
I ended up becoming very underweight due to "diet mentality" that I had carried on from being a chubby kid and chubby in highschool and the micromanaging made me develop disordered eating. I think I ate around 900-1100 calories a day.

I've stopped tracking my calories for the past year and I think I have about 1400-1500 now. I can pretty much accurately guess how many calories a food has just by looking at it now, since I was so used to doing it in the past. I am quite short (4'10") and I think this works for my body now, and I'm currently at a healthy weight.

Eventually when I stabilise health-wise, I would look to body recomp to gain more strength, and look more at my macro and micronutrient intake.
