Going to an anime convention is fun. I've met at least three people there (one passed away due to health issues) who are now my best friends. <3 It can be stressful though, especially when you have very severe anxiety and autism. x_x So, when I go to panels or meet voice actors, my mom and I go about an hour to a half an hour early to get their first. I have a hard time with long lines, so this is like much easier for me.

I want to go to Comic Con in NYC sometime but the tickets sell out faaast. Sometimes within seconds, I heard, plus it's expensive and ehhh. Depends on if my friend would be able to come with me.

How much were they per day? SDCC had them for $50 per night for an adult badge.

I never went to any conventions either, at least not anime related or anything like that. But there might be a chance for me to visit one in the future, if I was more into anime anyway.

The only thing I've never been to is one of those comic cons. Those things would be far too stressful for my nervous system. x_x I would love to go to them, but I just don't think I'd be able to handle the stress with my special needs. D:

I agree with this! I mean, New York or California would be perfect places for it because they are the bigger states for that sort of thing. I'm actually surprised they haven't even considered this because they'd get a bunch of people getting involved with the Pokemon Centers.

The Nintendo World Store in NYC used to be a Pokémon center, but it was closed and rebranded as the World Store.

There are some Pokemon-like events out there like TCG and VGC tournaments held somewhere in the US, but not actual conventions.

They have those around here, The regional VGC Tournaments were hosted in Kansas City last year, and I know where the Pokemon TCG Pokemon League meets every saturday.

I was going to go to the VGC tournament, but I forgot about it :(

A lot on it is focused on the TCG, but they do sell a lot of plushies and merch and whatnot. However, it is in the largest city in the country which is where I don't live :/ They do sell some pokemon merch at all the cons here though.

But you live in the capital and that's a much nicer city.

Outside of the cons, EB Games is the only place that has a regular supply of Pokemon Merch for much of NZ.

Haha well, I can't complain, I do prefer Welly to Auckland even though I enjoy going up there.

I know Pulsar Max sometimes have Pokemon Merch, and they also sometimes do orders.

Not gonna lie, it's the same way here in Canada, too. It's the only place you can get codes for events, no other stores here carry them. They also did wireless events when those were things. I really wish I could have worked there while they did those - I would have attempted to dump ROMs of the distribution carts for collectionist purposes.

Also, it seems the image in your signature doesn't sit properly in the div, it's not padded at the top and is sitting over the right-hand side of the div. I wonder if this thing Jake did might fix it.

It's not meant to be padded on the top, but it is centered for me. I'm using Chrome with Styl'd Skin.

I have a friend who also works at EB and man I've heard the stories xD I remember I wanted to work there once as a kid - or well Gamesman when that was still around.

That reminds me, a few weeks ago some angry drunk guy came into the EBgames on Cuba St, ranting about he wanted to smash down the Dicksmith down the road for being assholes or something. Finished his rant at the people at the counter and left with everyone confused haha

I'm sure someone with CSS skills might be able to help. But speaking of CSS sigs, I once tried it in late 2013 (in fact I had a sigpic that was well received back then) but then it was hard trying to remember where everything goes and sometimes I forgot which part of the code to edit, so I just reverted back to standard text + *insert random pic/text here*.

I kind of like my signature the way it is. It's simple, but it works for me. I'm terrible at figuring out CSS coding, so I just go with whatever I know best.
