Ironically I never saw this movie but I've been swooning over Baymax... he's such a gentle giant type of character with extra cuddle to him.

Yeah, I too would like to see this film. I've not had the chance being in Germany and all, so I am kinda relying on Netflix to get it at some point.

I was planning to watch it with my friend when ORAS came out 'cause Indonesia's premierwas like a week or two before but it was a weekend and the line was really long and we couldn't wait that long so...

I'll watch it someday. ;w;

how come there's like no places to rent movies anymore? the only place is netflix or red box. red box only has a couple of movies available to rent and you get it for one day. my library has movies thank goodness!

You all gotta know the format of the old video store is dying out... succumbing to the emergence of digital downloads and streaming video-on-demand services such as Netflix. They are literally doing what those stores did, but doing it better and when you want it.

It's all about convenience. Why waste 5 minutes driving to Blockbuster and buying a movie when you can waste 1 minute choosing a movie from Netflix without ever leaving your couch? It's kinda depressing actually. We can't take the time to actually go outside anymore.

Over here I'll continue to be a pirate. I can't seem to find any place that sells legitimate DVDs. Probably a few places, but they're rather pricey. I'd rather get them myself than pay for a pirated DVD that doesn't deserve the money they got. :^)

Oh right, I haven't watched Frozen yet whoops.

*Sits at home with Netflix because one doesn't simply sail a pirate ship in Berlin*

Actually, I think the reason they went out of business was because of streaming video sites like Netflix and Hulu Plus. They couldn't compete well enough with them, even when they actually tried so hard to just join them. I guess it didn't work out as well as they had hoped though. I'm pretty sure that's a lot of the reasons why most video stores are losing business. People are hardly ever renting/buying DVDs/Blu-rays unless they get it from a redbox or something similar to redbox. I mean, why pay an arm and a leg for renting a video at Blockbuster when you only pay about what, eight bucks a month for Netflix to stream on your TV?

Edit:

Okay, here's what wiki says:

Due to competition from Netflix and Redbox, Blockbuster lost significant revenue and filed for bankruptcy protection on September 23, 2010. On April 6, 2011, the company and its remaining 1,700 stores were bought by satellite television provider Dish Network at auction for $233 million and the assumption of $87 million in liabilities and other obligations. The acquisition was completed on April 26, 2011. Dish closed 200 branches in July 2011, 500 more in the first half of 2012, and another 300 in 2013. In November 2013, it was announced that the remaining 300 company-owned stores would close (though 50 franchise-owned stores would remain open). The company's DVD-by-mail rental ceased operations as well.

While the Blockbuster brand has mostly been retired, Dish will continue to license the brand name to franchise locations, and keep its "Blockbuster on Demand" video streaming service open along with a "Blockbuster@Home" television package for Dish subscribers.

So, that's the story.

Splatoon is so much fun. Been playing some with the bf lately. ;3 I'm fully convinced that I really really should get a wiiu of my own.

Oh jeez, you guys talk too much! *scrolls down to next page xD

It's all what he said, we're busier so convenience is very important.
It's kind of ironic how technology which is supposed to take away work, so you have more freetime, made people have even less freetime, because now they have other things that keep them busy. {XD}

Also stupid Splatoon. I'm not even close to a position where I can allow myself to even acquire a Wii U, let alone the game...

Goddamn having free time, and it being sunny. Just to give some background; I may or may not be a tad drunk. Never mind though, because I can still think! (Nearly typed drink omg... Thought I can lmao) But hey, Goddamn Splatoon being so good... I wish I could buy it but I've yet to own a WiiU. Perhaps one day...
