same here. the week goes by pretty fast for me especially since i am constantly working on school work for classes lol.
 
^ I second that, I will be too, today! A theme to match the new beginner's mafia in The Underground :)
 
I reverted back to my Goodra avatar because I absolutely love that avatar (and bf's favorite pokemon is Goodra ;3). So, right now I don't have a "set theme" yet.

Man, there are quite a few new mods appearing! Although, in Ben's case it was pretty predictable. Once again congrats man!

But since I'm always intersted in how things work, I want to ask is this like a phase for bringing in new mods for a fresh change of staffing? Or simply because the areas are in need of mods?
 
I don't really have the motivation to change my Avatar/Signature, although it'd be time to change them. Oh well, not that anybody cares anyway.

And whenever something like mod promotions happen, it just reminds me of my existence as a socially incompetent loser, who still struggles with any kind of interactions. Still don't understand how people can just enter a room and immediately become center of the party...

I really hate people, sometimes :(

I wouldn't really call it a phase. VG and PGC were in need of mods really badly. So it's just a way of h-staff searching for them. It's a long process, is all I can say haha.
 
I feel like mod promotions this year seem to happen in groups. Previously it was usually one at a time but now you wait a while and then *bam* you get a small group of them promoted at once.

And as Megan said, it's a pretty long process but how long would mainly depend on the section. Just look at something like Advance/Fifth Gen, they just went modless again and I could imagine getting activity going there is quite a chore in itself given everyone is literally playing the current generation stuff but I still have hope that it can get another new mod soon. Round Table is suffering just as much, especially with the fact it's been completely in higher-ups' hands for over a year now.

Ah I see! I appreciate that its not a subject you can just freely talk about, I just noticed a few new mods recently, and became curious :)

Ill change the subject now haha. How has everyone's day been so far?

huh, i didn't know there were actual modless sections out there x: i see. i guess it makes sense for the older generations to kind of get left behind as newer games come out though, huh. and well.. maybe Round Table will garner some new interest now with its image change c:

I can see gen 3 getting merged with the gen 1/2 section, considering how it became somewhat obsolete with ORAS and nobody cares so much about Kanto, anymore.

That could be an interesting approach, but maybe that won't happen until the eventual seventh generation gets announced or something.
 
yeah, it's interesting. Gen 3 is actually my favourite (well, maybe after Gen 6 now), or at least the gen i know most about anyway, so i should join in giving that some love too, definitely. i'll be sure to check it more often. i'd personally find it a shame if Gen 3 was merged with 1 and 2, but on the other hand it does make the most sense. at least Gen 3 was still Game Boy rather than DS after all, i suppose.
still at the same time i can't wait for Gen 7 either haha
 
I suppose there's still one thing, that gen 3 has, which ORAS is lacking and that is the Battle Frontier. So long as GF don't come up with a new game, that also features said battle facility, Emerald is going to have some worth of discussion that ORAS.

Also the thing with love and devotion is: you can love a generation and you can love the community of said generation, but that doesn't mean that you can devote yourself to said section in such a way, that you can keep it alive, by coming up with content that also drags in people who would like to be part of that section.

And lets not forget that a lot of features make a return in multiple generations, which makes posting a thread in PGC more accessable than posting it into a less frequented section. Sadly, that's something I had to learn while I was active in the gen 1/2 section.
 
There aren't many exclusives to individual generations that can actually provide extensive discussion anymore. For example, originally Pokémon Yellow was the only game in which you had a Pokémon walking behind you. Now HG/SS also off the same, linking Gen IV and I. It's one thing, as R.F. said, to love a Generation, and another to tirelessly promote discussion.

I have an idea; group the games into single screen games and dual screen games! -shot-
