Are you implying the gaming industry isn't at least partially moved by aesthetic appeal aka graphics nowadays? Of course it's not what real gamers want, but if Activision released Call of Duty: Black Ops SUPER REALISTIC PS5 GRAPHICS EDITION do you think people wouldn't buy that like bananas?

And I dare you name me a single game that would be more fun if it had current-technology motion controls instead of the usual! No, seriously, now I'm curious!

Most of what people are interested in are next generation graphics or nostalgic graphics. VVVVVV and Minecraft don't have amazing graphics at all but they have pretty good reviews. Nier has jagged polygons but it still managed to get an 8.2 average on GameFAQs, and Pixeljunk Shooters isn't spectacular aesthetics wise but still got pretty good reviews. The Wii has its fair share of graphically dated games that still play fine.

I doubt too many people actually bought Final Fantasy XIII just because it looked nice.

Okami works much better on the Wii than the Playstation 2 when drawing. And drawing is kinda important.
Also, depending on how you configure it, an FPS can be much better with motion controls. There are people who enjoyed MAG much more with Playstation Move than with the standard controller.

Either way, they are interested in some way that's aesthetically pleasing to them- my point still stands. People don't like games that are plain ugly, which is not the case with VVVVVV and Minecraft..

That's because FFXIII didn't need good graphics to sell. Final Fantasy has a humongous enough fanbase that no matter what crap Nomura takes out of his ass, people are going to buy.

Okay, you got with me Okami. <3

But most people prefer the conventional controls, so that's what's they're going to aim for: the majority. I have to agree though that when well done, FPS games are cool with motion.

Of course people don't like an ugly game(unless it's ugly on purpose, and even then it's really iffy), but I was talking about how graphics aren't a huge selling point. Most people are fine with average graphics as long as the game makes up for it with, say, good gameplay.

Which I would like to mention is the same case with Black Ops.

I still remember when the Wii was hyped up to be the next best thing since sliced bread(or it just being another gimmick), and this happened for quite a while before the release. Nintendo failed to catch their audience with the Gamecube despite using a standard controller.

Many people do prefer conventional controls, but a good chunk of the majority are willing to change if it means a better experience.

But the thing is, they are a huge selling point. People will buy games with awesome graphics and mediocre gameplay (Crysis, Gran Turismo, for instance) as much as they'd buy the vice-versa.

That was a bad example on my part, sorry. ):

I'm pretty sure it wasn't because of the controller the Gamecube 'failed'. I think you know that too; you seem pretty knowledgeable.

I agree. The problem is that, nowadays, a better experience is rarely achieved through motion controllers.

I'd roll my head on the keyboard, but I don't want to damage my brain even further.

Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaage.

Grah, you know what sucks? Being instilled with an odd mix of low self-esteem by siblings, and arrogance by parents.

Yeah, I'm arrogant. I'll be the first to admit it.

But every time I try to raise myself up, I get smashed down.

Remember, kiddies. A kind word to brighten someone's day isn't your problem. Just tell them off, and go out of your way to torment them. After all, if it's just a passing comment for you, how badly can it hurt, right?

Ha.

Haha.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'm the type that tends to be down about myself, and I put too much weight on what other people think (Yes, I'm an idiot for doing so, but "Just don't listen!" is bad advice...). As a result, I also tend to compare myself to others.

Grah. Everything I do, there's always... Everyone... better...

I hate high school. I really do. The sooner I get out of here, the better.

Brighten someone's day. Give 'em a kind word or whatnot. It'll help more than you think.

The same is true for a passing insult.

*Sharpens knife*

Though I would never say this a year ago...

Nano desu. Yes, this song is fairly accurate... Russia-style rage, with a smile! :D

It's true. There will always be someone better, just as there will always be someone worse. Everyone has a bit of arrogance AND a bit of humbleness to them, too. You just have to learn that everything is a balance.

Everything's a balance, it's true. Even a test. Don't stress at all and you don't study- you end up failing. Stress too much and you have an anxiety attack, and you wont be able to think straight- thus resulting in failure too.
This time, the test is life, and the stress is the representation on how you view yourself. You have to bring yourself up enough to have respect for yourself and confidence in what you do. Too much and it'll mess you up. Too little and it'll mess you up.

Just work your way up to finding a balance. You probably wont find it right away- but don't worry- no one does. It has to do with finding yourself. Everyone can do it- but you have to work at it. (Hence why you said you've improved yourself in just a year for example)
Work at it and you'll be rewarded with being able to see life in a more lighthearted way and be able to embrace everything that happens to you.

Good luck.

So? All you have to do is get back up again. Sure, its easier to say it than to do it, but it's certainly not impossible.

man, I wish this was true. It would certainly be a bit more motivation for me to study for my exam on Friday, haha.

It is true. It's why you're unmotivated. You have no incentive.. therefore you're not stressed.. therefore you procrastinate.

It is true. It's why you're unmotivated. You have no incentive.. therefore you're not stressed.. therefore you come to my wedding.

Bring presents :3

We accept any kind of presents, to be fair. Anything good willed is good, but if we had to chose, please don't bring anything less than a couple hundred dollars.

Also cake. Bring us cake.

You know what? Make that an ice cream cake.
I looooooooove ice cream cakes.
What's your favorite ice cream Devi-muffin :3c
