I have no clue. She applied to both because they both come out and recruit from my school and she's like a nearly 4.0 GPA in Computer Engineering and Japanese double major so she was in hot demand, haha.

Jesus, she could be anything with all that to her name.

@Live, There's a lot of different divisions up at Amazon. They could be working for the website, developing amazon related products, working in the distribution division, or even chatting it up on the help lines.
They have good customer service. The girl who was helping me when one of my packages was lost was a freaking saint. :o

How exactly does one work for Amazon?

Office jobs (primarily in administration and IT) and warehouse jobs are the dominant positions they have, I would assume. If I recall correctly, many of their larger warehouses are staffed by mobile robots that know exactly where each item in their inventory in that particular warehouse is stored. Of course, you need people that keep that system functioning and running as well as people to process the paperwork generated by the robots. And of course they need people who make sure that each order is properly filled out.

She's in software development iirc, idk what that entails for her though. xD

I could never get into e-readers. :( I heard they have apps now though, right? That's kinda cool.

It seriously pains me to know the utterly detestable working conditions warehouse shipping employees work in and yet use Amazon quite regularly nowadays. u___u

Yeah, most do but mine doesn't. I'm using one of the older Kindles that functions like a $5 handheld game you get at a drugstore.
It works good for reading, but when you turn a page you're thinking to yourself "Didn't we solve these problems back in the early 90s?"

Also, on an unrelated note: That feel when you're listening to music in one ear after 2am and hear noises out the other ear thinking it's a burglar or a zombie.
Edit: OK just my cat.

The only reason I got an e-reader was because I didn't really have enough space for any more books. :( Usually the books on the Amazon store are about the same price as the original, but yeah, I guess I have to get as many books as possible on my Kindle. :x The only reason I have this problem is because I don't like giving away any of my old books away...

Yeahhhh I was never into reading lol. I never felt like I had the time or patience or mental capacity for it. Even though I do it a lot now though stuff like PC and Msn so whatever haha. I think most people probably read more than they actually realise.

I read way too much for my own good. At least one newspaper per day, a weekly magazine on world news, and my really long collection of books (I have four on stand-by right now XD).

I never realized that. when looking at forums I do more reading in a day than I do in a year. lol

That was a lot of the arguments people had about RPGs I think.

"You could be reading!"
"...have you SEEN the amount of text in an RPG, mom?"

I'm sorry are you talking about Golden Sun because when I think of long intros that's all I can think of

My friend told me to play that game though.

"...have you SEEN the amount of text in 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors, mom?"

The first major cutscene is like 10 minutes of nothing but TEXT. Uggggh.

I keep on forgetting to buy that game, even though I have tons of videogames I've yet to finish/start. Thanks for reminding me!

I never read books or newspapers. Like, ever. Whenever I attempt to sit down and read a book, the information in it never really seems to get processed in my brain? For example I enjoy Terry Pratchett's novels but most of the time when I try to read a book of his I'll read a page of it and then wonder, "... wait what actually happened?" And then I'll read it again. And again. And again. It's an endless cycle and it annoys me so much.
