OH MAN!!

I just spent AN HOUR (ish) battling Lance! Dragonair being the only lvl 50, all the others being below.
Gyarados was 38 and he took some huge hits and gave some even bigger.
Also Umbreon is such a tank what the heck! (my team was the one in my signature)
Anyway, I have finally (not that I was trying that hard till today) beaten Indigo league in SS. Such a relief. This was harder that Cynthia lmao.
Anyway, I rarely feel so good about doing something virtually related, but this felt gooood.

Anyway, just came here to brag, pce.

My first day out of school was spent planning logistics and systems for a computer repair business to be run out of my house. The startup will be about $4K, and it won't look like crap. Nice rugs and lounges, other areas of the house shrouded, the whole nine, ads and all. Maybe I can do it, or maybe I'm a stuck-up do-nothing without any moral fibre or personal integrity to speak of and am rightfully penniless because of it. Let's find out...

Oryx:
Mmn, Indian food. :L
I could go for some good saag aloo, actually...

BIS.:
Hey man, so long as you enjoy what you're doing! It is good to have an exit strategy, though. Keep an open mind about your situation, options, and opportunities!

Alex:
Dude, you're sixteen. It's great and all to have a plan for your future, but don't try to rush things. Don't forget that great opportunities can show up right out of the blue, just like they can from being made. Sometimes it's best to relax a little.

Personally I'm happy with where I am in schooling, and work. Not content, mind you... but happy!

So what are you guys going to do five summers from now? We haven't made any plans. It's never too early to make plans! We're going to Norway in 2025. Did you know that up until the 1950s, Norway's economy was based largely on fishing? Yeah, thanks to the global economy and improved drilling techniq—

Hehe.
Hehehehehehehe…

^^

Life's what happens when you're busy making other plans, man. That's all I was saying. xD

:b

And I wasn't trying to get at you for it or anything, sorry if I came across like that. Personally, I think now's the perfect time to start making plans, and to be honest this one kind of happenstance fell on my plate as well. I suppose most get it a little later, but I'm at a mental age and also a turning point in my life to start making something out of myself. I love achieving, but only for what's worthwhile. High school can be a few thousand dollars and a few months for me as opposed to the unbelievable hell it is here. I would honestly stay if it wasn't so bad here.

My main life plan is to move to Virginia Beach, rent a studio apartment, go to community college for an A.S. in 1337 h4x0r st00f, make a career out of that, be successful, yada yada, and also do some investing on the side because why not. The problem with that plan was lifting myself by my own bootstraps - I need an income before I can go and get the good money, and within a bit of time - boom. Here it is, and it was better money than I was expecting. I wanna roll, there's no time to waste. I ask, "why wait?", especially in my prime of all times. I wanna wait around when I'm old and have nothing better to do.

Are you guys happy with your job/school?
Yes indeed I am. It's a fun environment with great people. We play video games, have in office chat rooms, go out for lunch, throw some fun events. Never feels like work.

And then the work itself is enjoyable too. Development is like conquering a puzzle game every day

What? Alex, you're sixteen?

And jaded like hell. Well, at least I think I am. :\

Triforce, what sort of development do you do? It makes being a lax boss sound appeasing. :A

Rock on dude! What does the job entail?

I think it's going to be a while before I go anywhere or do anything....

It's alright, you have a while, no rush :)

I'm working in pre-production for an upcoming TV show that I suspect will only air in Canada. I'm reluctant to disclose the title cuz I dunno how much I can talk about it yet. But basically I am an "Archive Researcher" wherein I find video clips online, the sort of small ones you see on Vine and the like, and send it to the writers of the show. The show's idea is written skits based off of these real life video clips that I've found. So, I watch YouTube all day, haha! What's not to love!

I read your post in the help & advice thread and I'll just quickly reply here cuz you've already seen this notification. You're sixteen so unfortunately there's very little you can do given that you don't even have your secondary school diploma yet. If you're really desperate you can stay in youth hostiles that go for super cheap. Maybe you have a friend you can live with temporarily? I doubt you haven't thought of that already. Seeing as high school should absolutely be your priority right now, if you can manage to work a job that pays you enough to rent your own apartment and afford your own food + whatever other commodities you desire, go for it. But you'll hate yourself if you let this sitch with your mother prevent you from graduating high school in a timely fashion.

I can't go back to school, it was too much for me to handle. The people there were similarly working against me so I expelled them from my life - unfortunately I'd like to do the same with my mother but can't. What is a youth hostile? How would I approach that? I know where to get a little money if I need it.
