Still got my crush on korrina too lol

I've been a bit sensitive to login for awhile. Glad things are going smoothly here for me still! This forum is great :D

I hope you've all been doing well and having a nice May ^_^

I've been super into pokemon in general lately. I toke an old pokemon guide book out shopping with me today lol Also I seem to browse pokemon webpages a lot right now. Its pretty fun xD
 
I downloaded Y for free a few years but I never played it beyond the part where one chooses a starter. I also haven?t played X in well over a year or two.
 
I like the kalos games mainly for the fashion.
 
They're the marginally playable games stuck between two utterly unplayable ones, to me. xD

That said, I should go back and complete my 6th gen living dex somewhen...I had a panic attack getting everything off Bank earlier this week when I found out my sub had expired and apparently your stuff gets deleted after a while =/

They're staying on the Switch for me. I'll pay once to get my Y Pokes to the Switch and that's it. So long as they don't make any future games on the same console incompatible again... Which they invariably will.

Assuming that Nintendo/Game Freak/whoever makes the Switch Bank compatible...which you may THINK is a safe assumption, but this is what we all thought about the Virtual Console.

Honestly, with all the horrendous experiences and general disappointments I've had over the years, I have very little faith in the Pokemon franchise or in Nintendo as a company any more >.>

That's an eerie thought, but I assumed they made the bank to transcend systems down the line. That made it make practical sense to me. Considering you can transfer Pokes from gen 3 all the way to 7, I doubt gen 8 will be the one to eliminate all transferring. They'd be insane. The fan backlash alone would be unrivaled.

But I can't think of any way the 3DS and Switch could communicate apart from the bank.

Well, Monster Hunter Generations and Generations Ultimate can communicate with one another, so don't be too sure of it.

With Nintendo's paid subscription service coming into effect before Gen VIII, I'm not entirely sure they'll want to heap cost upon cost on players, so Bank may either be incorporated into that service or done away with entirely, for example. Personally I'd prefer to be able to communicate without having to pay for it, even if the transfer would likely be one-way because of it.
 
The transfers are already one-way only, so I'm okay with that. I agree that it should be free. You own the games and the systems to play them on. You shouldn't need to buy even more.
 
They'll definitely make transfer possible beween gen 7 and the Switch games. Otherwise it's quite strange... Things hint towards transfer from pokemon GO being the key feature though.
 
Really, the main franchise needs to stay as far away from Go as possible, for its own good >.>

Although if Gen VIII comes up with something worse than that godawful Festival Plaza for online connectivity I will be amazed...

...or not.
 
They just want to make monies. GO players likely pay a lot for dem egg incubators.
