7 inches is more like an oversized phone rather than a tablet. If I have no clue what kind of phone to get when I finally get one. And If I ever get a tablet, which I most likely won't, I'd probably get an iPad or a Kindle Fire HD.

Actually 6 inches are those "phablets" haha.. but believe me, the Nexus 7 is not an "oversized phone" if you saw and held one for yourself, even though yes it is small in comparison to like a 10 inch tablet, like the iPad.

Yeah I see what you mean I guess when I think of tablet I think of like the iPad or Kindle, just the common idea of a tablet. I never knew there was a word like phablet that was used for phones/tablet hybrids.

I've never heard of the term phablet before.

Sounds like something a fabulous piggy would name their kid.

...god, that was terrible.

I don't have a tablet or plan on getting one. I have a laptop and an I-pod touch. That's good enough for me. Plus I have a lot of stuff on my I-pod that I don't want to lose.

I hardly ever use my I-pod touch anymore since I got my laptop. The only times I'll use it is when I'm making music or listening to it while I mow the lawn.

How difficult is it to type on a tablet? Might as well ask, since I'll be using mine in place of my laptop as soon as I get it.

I'd imagine that the Surface 2 would have a cover available for it just like the original Surface and the Surface RT. So you might want to look into one of those if you can.

As for my experience, I'm not really much of a typer on my tablet since I use Swype to get my words, and it certainly is much easier than having to type character-for-character, but I'm not sure if any similar keyboards exist for Windows.

Is it worth learning Swype? I can type pretty quickly regularly, iunno if it's worth the time to learn how to do it another way.

I don't know if it's worth it, but it's definitely something fun to use. =P

And the keyboard costs extra. Might get it in the future, but for now, eh.

Swype looks pretty hard. I've tried finger swiping keyboards before and I had a hard time using them. I don't see a use for it. I can type well normally.

It's basically typing with your thumbs but not lifting your thumbs :p
