My only question ATM is, are the natures of Mystery Gift pokemon transferred from Ranch/Battle Revoltuion set once the transfer is complete or when I talk to the guy? Just wanting to know because I'm wondering if I can SR for a better natured Electivire.

PBR pokes have set natures. Pika is hardy, and I believe vire and mag are adamant and modest respectively. Not sure about ranch, however.

While chaining for a shiny pokemon with the Poke Radar.
Once you get once shiny patch and catch a shiny.
Can you get another shiny patch without going another 40 more?

In addition to what El Gofre said, Ranch pokemon have random natures but are set as soon as you receive them from a trade. The Wii saves, so you're stuck with what you get. As for events, Pikachu, Electivire, Magmortar, and Dragonite have set natures while Darkrai, Shaymin, etc do not.

Of course. Catch your shiny, and keep resetting the radar. Don't enter patch 41 unless it's a shiny patch. This way, you can wait it out and still have the ~200 odds instead of having to start over. You can get up to a hundred shinies from the same chain.

I did something very bad....

I had a Darkrai which I got from a friend in trade at the Pokemon Center (I assume it was hacked) that I had just trained to level 100. Whenever I tried to trade it at the GTS, it wouldn't work (that's why I think it was hacked). I saw a level ONE, yes, ONE Gilgar at the GTS and I traded to see what would happen. And it worked. I traded a level 100 Darkrai for a level 1 Gilgar. Any ideas on what I should do with it would be nice please!...

hmm the reason you couldn't trade it was probs becuase of its classic ribbon. But that doesn't make sense since you ended up trading it over the gts I assume. first we should find out whether it's hacked, well if it was hacked ;). What level was it when you or your friend got it?

I don't think it had any ribbons. He said it was level 40 when he got it and when he gave it to me it was level 60-something. Is there any way to get another one preferably withoug hacking?

only way i can think of off the top of my head is too hunt down someone who is willing to part with an Event Darkrai, not that the chances of that happening are high in your favor

Event Darkrai?

What's the difference between an event Darkrai and a regular Darkrai? Besides the fact that one's from an event and one's not.

OK, thanks for letting me know. I haven't traded over from PBR before so I wasn't sure and as for Ranch, my friend has it but ofcourse, he doesn't know anything about nature's and EV's other than their effects.

Event darkrai can only be a few natures, 4 or 5 if I remember correctly. They also have spacial rend and roar of time on their movesets, but once wiped they cannot be retaught.

ALAMOS Darkrai can actually be of any nature, I believe.

With how common those Darkrai have become in the Trade Corner? Of course the chances of finding one are high.

A "normal" Darkrai would say it's from New Moon Island and an event would say "Pokemon Event" or something along those lines.

Shock Narr

New Moon Island Darkrai
Knows Hypnosis / Pursuit / Quick Attack / Nightmare when caught.
Location is from New Moon island, level 40.
ALAMOS Darkrai
Knows Roar of Time / Spacial Rend / Nightmare / Hypnosis when caught.
Location is Pokemon Event; Apparently met at a fateful encounter, level 50
Inside a Cherish Ball
Has a Classic Ribbon

Is it possible to get a shiny patch while chaining without going up to 40?

Yes, you can run into a shiny patch anytime you are chaining. The chances of finding one increase as the chain number goes up though, ending with about a 1-in-200 chance at 40 (iirc), but its still possible to find one on your first patch (though it has the same chance of being a shiny as random encounters, so don't get your hopes up). If you don't want to go up to 40, you could always start resetting at 20 or something, but there's less chance of it being shiny then, so it will take longer.

Okay hey guys.
I have 2 questions:

After Getting Heatran?

And

What's the most common place to catch shinnies? Does it have to be the pokemon that Lucas/Dawn's sis tells you everyday?

You can chain every pokémon in tall grass, it doesn't need to be a swarm.
If you meant to ask what's the easiest Pokémon to chain though, it's personal preference really.. I think the easiest are most of the swarms (except Swinub) and pretty much every Electric/Steel type (most notably Shinx and Magnemite), if the first Pokémon in your party has Static (attracts Electric types) or Magnet Pull (attracts Steel types). Bidoof is pretty easy to chain too, and route 222 is just wonderful because the grass patch there is huge.
