Do you change/rotate your team?

I generally stick with the same team until the post-game (unless I find any Shinies along the way), then I swap in my "signature team."

I've been having a lot of trouble choosing only six Pokémon for that signature team though. Dunsparce, Wartortle, and Mothim are static, but I shuffle between Alolan Sandslash, Porygon2, Shedinja, Glaceon, Flareon, Froslass, and Lickitung for the other three. I want to settle on six (especially for trainer cards and art), but it's so hard! One minute I think I've got it, then I start doubting...

Over the past couple years, in previous-generation games, I've been hunting to fill my post-game teams with full-odds Shinies. Too bad I transferred over most of my past-gen. Shinies before I decided to do this... ><

I try to make it a point to use / train every Pokémon in the game, so that requires a lot of team switching! I go into Pokémon games with the intention of learning about each new Pokémon, so I do plenty of team rotation. Usually post game I fall back into my monotype Fairies, though lol.

I usually get 5 team members, then can't decide what I want for the 6th, so it constantly get rotated for a while.

In the post game I will switch my team and I'm willing to grind. In White, I replaced something for a Deino which I then spent lots of time leveling into a Hydriegon.

i used to be very rigid in what i wanted on my team. i planned every little thing, especially in older games where HMs are a thing or limited battles or a level curve that makes it harder to play catch up and such. in newer games, i've been more lenient with myself and i'll actually rotate a few party members until i find a party that just clicks for me. i did that in ultramoon. like i had no intention of using a politoed (even though it is a fave, it was just meant to be temp) but i got attached and no other water types were really vibin w me.

for older games though, i will still plan my every move lol. i kind of like that aspect, though. it's how i played even as a kid so even though that's more meticulous and less lighthearted, it...does make me feel like a kid again. there's no wrong way to go about your teams of course and i think both methods have their merits, it's just easier in some generations over others.

I generally stick with the same ones throughout the game, but occassionally I'll come across a Pokémon I'd forgotten about and have to take one out of my team to make room for it. I used to plan which Pokémon I'd use, but haven't done that for a while.

I always stick with my team until the end, unless something drastic happens like I fall in love with a Pokemon I hadn't considered before.

Whenever I catch a Pokémon I like, I add it to my team. So I end up with 20-odd-strong teams in which I just rotate the members so they all have a similar level and the resulting 6-mon packs are as balanced as possible.

Takes hours but I enjoy it.

Depends on whether or not I like the Pokémon I just caught. I liked Cubone but Lapras is good too and it could learn Blizzard.
