Do you ever go back to old Pokemon games

As the title says, I was wondering if I am the only one who goes back to an old Pokemon back, just to relive some memories, or simply cos you liked something specifically about the game.

I am not talking about challenges or replaying the game. I sometimes go to the old games, everything from Pokemon Yellow to new games, just to visit a place, or listen to some music, or even idk, to check what Pokemon I had back there.
Some of the place I plan to visit over and over are: Distortion world ( and pretty much every town lol) in Platinum, Route 47/48, Ecruteak city, Vermilion, Viridian...and many more in Johto and Kanto etc.

What about you? If you do this, what exactly are you visiting when you play an older game and why?

(I hope mods wont mind literate copy pasting, I think it's a cool topic to discuss)

Oh, of course; I definitely do. Although I have played them a couple of times before, it doesn't mean I can't go through them again, haha. Every now and again, it could be rather fun to be playing them again.

One Pokémon game I found myself going through a lot would have to be Emerald version. I loved my original run--Hoenn was generally fun to explore, at least in my eyes, and its story-line seemed to have complemented the region very well--and have enjoyed my other runs just as much. Emerald is the only game that I have ever tried to finish my PokéDex in. Sadly, I wasn't quite successful, but I was pretty darn close (I wasn't able to get a hold of Bagon and Feebas; it would have been completed otherwise).

Up next is Pokémon Platinum, which I've played through approximately four times. After this, it would probably have to be a tie between Crystal and HG/SS (former mostly due to nostalgic reasons, and latter because of advanced graphics, features, music, and so forth).

Yes, definite yes. I do a lot of challenges on GBA games and will be doing some on Fourth Generation games soon. I really enjoy playing FR/LG and RSE because, in my opinion, they are still the best Pokemon games. There's nothing too flashy about them which I like and there's nothing that makes it seem like the game is going to go on forever. My favourite battle graphics are still the ones in DPPt and the buildings in those games are my favourite, so there is always reason to go back to older games.

I usually go through these weird trends where I play the current gen game, and when I grow tired of it for whatever reason, I go back to an older gen. When ORAS was announced, I decided to make a new file for Emerald to get myself back into the mindset for the upcoming games.

I only go back to look at my old Pokemon but I don't do it very often. I hate restarting old games because I worked so hard and I have a few shiny/event Pokemon on older cartridges.
I have played HG/FR recently but only because I haven't beaten last gym in HG and FR because I'm on my 2ndish play through. I restarted because my team sucked the first playthrough.

I still have my main copy of White 2, which has a nice amount of time logged on it, and I do still play it just to do things like go through the White Treehollow or Southeastern Unova again. And one day i'll get the last of the Strange Endings in Pokéstar Studios, and the Type Champ Medals.

Sadly, I wiped the saved on both White and Heart Gold earlier in the year, so I don't have as much on those anymore.

I love going back to my old games. Though it is hard to do much of anything when all of my pokemon have been transferred to Y. I still need to transfer them from Y to Alpha Sapphire now.

I usually do. I have wanted to go back and reply White and White 2 again. I just like to wait a while before replaying them so it's more enjoyable for me. c:

Yep, I certainly do. I tend to try monotype runs of HGSS, and plan to do one of B2W2 as well. Meanwhile I have a copy of Pokemon XD to replay as well thanks to a friend for Christmas. =)

On occasion, particularly when I'm feeling down, I may play the first two generations' games via emulator just to relive the memories of when I played those entries extensively when I was young.
