I name mine all the time. I do it just for kicks and giggles mostly.

My phone: Stitch Jean Page (Do you really need to ask on this one? XD)
My laptop: Radley Laptrap Heeler (I always add "laptrap" to every name I give my laptops)
My iPad: Frisky Heeler (I figured it would be a good match to my new laptop)
My Switch: Lilo (due to it's coral pink color)

I honestly don't know why I name them, but I guess as I said... for fun. I like coming up with unique names for them. :)

So, anyway... as the topic suggests: Do you name your electronics?

I name my hard drives just cuz I think it's cute to see the name all the time and I have to differentiate them by nature, but otherwise, no. I think I used to but then in adulthood I ended up with so many devices that might be seen in more professional settings so it made more sense to have like "Cherrim's Laptop" vs something weirdly out there.

The only time that I named any of my devices was when I got my very first Android phone. I was using it in work to talk to a friend on Skype, and stuck it in my pocket. Next time that I looked at the screen, my phone had sent a random message consisting only of "Lloyd". From then on, that phone was Lloyd.

These days, I only see my devices as things, so it's just my phone or my laptop or my computer. The only things that I name are my cars, since I've only had two. First one was Spot (named after the computer character in Diane Duane's Young Wizards series) and my second car is named Dirk (named after the main character of James Clavell's Tai-Pan).

Y'know, I do actually do this. It was something that someone quirky I once met and got to know did with all their electronics, and I thought it was neat when I was younger, so occasionally I will actually name them. Usually the default name for things like phones and computers is just "(Name)'s device" and I both think that's boring and just don't often want people to see my name when I'm connected to something. It's usually due to their colour, whatever I'd use them for, or a really obscure reference to something I used to be into.
My Switch has always been Lotus, since I got pink and green joycons for it and wanted a name of a pink flower, but my phones have always been those obscure references. My current one doesn't really have a name yet (I've been thinking of one for so long at this point), but my last one was Sonata, and the previous was Tiamatria. I can also swear I had something named Lemon Zest, but can't remember whatever kind of device it was.
